Are Computerized Lottery Drawings Truly Random?
all this time while purchasing quick-pick lottery tickets...i was under the distinct impression that each lottery ticket terminal had it's own random number generator and after issuing the tickets simply reported those numbers back to the lottery computers. i understand how the numbers during the subsequent drawing (if done by a computer) could then be manipulated ...but i never in my wildest dreams had any incling that the quick-picks being issued (in any game) might be pre-determined based on

Are Lotteries Rigged
Wiseone2 wrote: Through technology. Computers today can do just about anything you can imagine. The drawing balls in a drum can be magnetically charged as to pull them down to a metal shoot before releasing the charge and allowing the ball to fall free for example. I have thought about this also and think it is very possible to do this the balls could have silk screened magnetic ink/paint. If I was going to rig a lottery drawing I might have experimented with this idea. I'm sure that we aren't

Ontario mulling lottery tax
Ontario's finance minister is opposed to a scheme to tax lottery and gambling winnings. Don't bet the family farm on a lottery tax, said Greg Sorbara. This is not something that is getting very much consideration wherever. Frankly, I wasn't very impressed with the results that we might gain from it. Gambling in Ontario nets the province $2 billion annually. All the winnings are tax-free, unlike in the United States, where some states tax gambling proceeds at rates of up to 18 per cent. The Ontar

After 2 years... I've lost past 3 weeks
Peter, about kamakaze's technique......... I've noticed a few hits as well with that method. Could it be just coincedental when applied to all the pick 3's? Basically, it's some form of numerology. I don't even think kamakze knows the reasoning behind his method. The reason why i think it could be just coincedental is because when you work out all the mathmatic equations that he goes by, you end up with most of the digits anyways out of the ten. ie: most of the time you see 8 of ten digits, 9

time and the result
Bob and Hyper both you guys have excellent points. A program was developed a while back on the discovery channel depicting all the whole process of the lotto drawing I don't know if it was mega or powerball. But they went step by step from the actual selection of materials machines personnel and the whole gamut. Very informative. The big game and powerball is regulated by the gaming officials that a rigging of any kind would almost have to be mastermind by the people running the game the consequ

Cheating The Lottery?
Even if hackers were not capable of such a thing. Surley the lottery employes could print up a forged ticket with an actual ticket printing terminal. The lotto system is a man made system. If a man made it, a man can break it. So IF the lottery is rigged and thats a big IF....it would seem much easier to let the balls fall where they may and just go ahead a print up a winning ticket for the selected so called lucky winner. Not saying this would happen a lot. They might sneak a fixed game in ev

For each states lottery that has a website there should be a section on it that tells people how the state benefits from

Are Lotteries Rigged
It is very possible that electronic games are fixed not rigged in that they pay out a percentage of what they take in. say as with keno. I have seen repeating sets within so many minutes go away as soon as they were bet/played. I have watched the keno screens for days on end looking for random sets of numbers to appear. When the owner of the establishment says to me that the lottery is going down tonight for service. About two days later I notice the numbers have a different look to them the pat

Are Lotteries Rigged
as for the person on an earlier page of this thread mentioned/that they would have to identify exconvicts in order to manipulate the drawing away from them winning it, is idiotic in two ways. they dont have to manipulate the winning away from anyone, if they are simply not letting anyone win it.!the people who claim to have won milions of dollars . are front people usually 35-60 years of age who have signed a statement swearing to not reveal the truth. in texas the first people to win the lo
