Louisiana Lottery making changes to Lotto game in August
From the article: The match-5 prize will average $1,000 (down from a current average of $2,000) and the match-4 prize average stays the same at $50.
And I guess the match-3 prize stays the same? With the probability of winning a prize decreasing at every prize level, this is a pretty shetty change for those hardcore players who are spending $20 a week or more and hitting those lower tier prizes somewhat consistently. For the casual Lotto players who only play when the jackpot reaches a cer

Woman says she hit jackpot of $8.5 million & casino won't pay :-(
Edessaknight,
Some of the comments in the Reactions to the article are pretty interesting. Here's one by a james n;
There is no jackpot, the machine did malfunction. The screen that the lady took a picture of was a statistical screen. The win is the amount the machine has won, not how much the lady has won. Clearly states on all slot machines that malfunctions voids all play. There is no jackpot, nothing to see here, move on. So many have tried to sue over something similar to this. The ca

When is the right time for the Powerball quick pick RNG to pay out
I heard in one article comment a couple months ago about Lucky Lottery Ticket Time, which means you buy a quick pick the day of the drawing, right down sometime at noon down to the second in order to win the jp.
A certain user also said to buy the ticket the time you were born.
Is there any truth to these methods if don't feel like predicting the numbers?

Georgia Lottery launches new Cash Pop draw game
Ok, for this GA Cash Pop... Odds are 1 in 15, according to the article, you can play all 15 numbers...at $5 each, that would be $75...and the winning number nabs you (edit: up to ) $1,250....and you can do that up to 5 consecutive draws.....
yeah...somebody said this would be gone in six weeks...and it looks like this won't last....
one reason, because the cash prize is not fixed, so it looks like the prize amount of $1,250 will be few and far between....because the random amounts wo

Judge rules Massachusetts Lottery can suspend high-frequency winners
Yes, if a guy is filing a claim (only for 600$+) of hundreds of tickets from hundreds of locations, he did not buy the ticket originally.
The article is about 600$+ winners that have to file a claim, including back-tax check, child support check, etc. A straight pick-4 is usually $1000. If you had a legit system you would only get then from a couple locations near home/work. If you won, say 50 times, and they see all from the same few stores where you live, then it is unlikely you were being

Walmart finally starts selling lottery products here
The first Walmart opened here in this city about 20 years or so ago. There's now at least four Walmart's and one Walmart Neighborhood Market in this city. As long as I've known they've not ever sold lottery tickets. I went to one this morning and noticed a small printer thing above the register with something like Washington Lottery Products Sold here on it and also noticed some loose scratch tickets stacked and sitting on the register as well. On my way out I noticed two lottery vending machine
