I was a avid Mega Millions player, but if they go to the higher ODDS of 1out of 258 Million then I will never play Mega Millions ,that elimanate all chances of ever winning the JACKPOT or even the smaller prices, I'm not just giving my money to them. Them States are really getting greedy and then they paying them Private Company's Millions of Dollars to run there Lotteries ,another braindead Idea's of them REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS ,who think that what is run privatly is better , no it just elimanate

Yes, I can believe that too. More than likely, Powerball will get there first, because of its $2 ticket price. Mega Millions is making a pathetic attempt at it too later this year though, by going to a 5/75 + 1/15 matrix! I don't think the new Mega Millions will work though.

When Mega Millions set the world record last year, it was on its nineteenth draw, and that was with the run being two draws ahead of the current run. This is Mega Millions' fourteenth draw in the current run on Friday, while the record setting run took only twelve draws for its jackpot to break $100 million annuity. Personally, if I don't win, I hope it rolls all the way until Tuesday, May 14, only to be won right before Florida joins, just to make Floridans angry LOL!

Since Powerball price increase I stick to 5 tickets for $10. When Mega Millions come to Florida in May it will be 1 $2 ticket per draw. It take my chances on Mega Millions.

Cali wins their share of mega millions jackpots just like new york and I think that cali will still win their share of powerball jackpots but they don't win all the time so that is what I am hoping for when they join. To win a couple each year like new york but not all of the jackpots so other states can win like my state oregon. Don't forget that florida will get mega millions later this year so they may take some of new york and cali's jackpots too.-weshar75

I would suggest that Mega Millions should start with at $15 million dollars as their base because I want them to follow Powerball's footsteps in the cash option jackpot. For example, Powerball's cash option jackpot is currently about 63% of their starting jackpot. When Mega Millions starts with a $12 million dollars jackpot on February 22nd, 2013, their cash option at $8.8 million is currently about 73% of the announced jackpot.
