Florida lottery winners indicted on tax charge
I was quoting the article CashONly, not your commentary.
The article clearly stated the above mentioned. thus why there were quotations from the ORIGINAL Article.
And thank you for reading my opinion! :)

Jack Whitaker, worse than you thought.
Sorry to offend you.Actually, if you have some insight into critical thinking, you can quickly recognize that all of the incidents here are entirely consistent with events reported in the mainstream news. And I note that there are two possibilities here: 1) You opened this thread and read the article yourself. 2) That you opened the article, observed that it came from a Chinese source and didn't read it. If the first case is true, besides indicating that you have an interest in Jack Whittaker,

Uncle Sam Wins Your Lottery
This topic is of interest to all Lottery Post members, whether you are for cash (lump sum) or Annuity. Todays Washington Post (go to www.washingtonpost.com) in the business section under the Cash Flow Subject/title. Several issues come up in this article, one is the number of winners who opt for annuity and then in a year or two sell their annual payments to a rip off but legal entity who gets a big chunk of their winnings. The woman example won $17.5 in 26 payments. She sold her annuity pay

Computerized lotto must wait awhile
Two comments on the article...1) While phasing in the online games is a good idea (so you can work out the kinks in the system), limiting online terminals to retailers who sell a specified dollar amount of tickets per period of time is a VERY BAD idea. Geography has to play a part in it too...you don't want players to have to drive 50 miles to buy a ticket because there are no qualified retailers in their area.A much better plan to follow is the one that Virginia follows. Any reatiler who want

Lottery player/winner advice ?
Can we get back to the original post and the article in which the comments were referred, please? The original post mentioned that lump sum is better than annuities doled out by the state. THAT, and several other posts, is not the issue from the article. In fact, the article stated, and I quote, again, From a financial standpoint, it's better to have it and invest it. That plainly advocates lump sum, not state annuity. The point Haisman was trying to get across was that there are people w

Lottery player/winner advice ?
I respectfully disagree with your analysis of Haisman's article. Althouh I noticed a few typographical/grammatical errors which can change the meaning of the message in his article, I don't believe Haisman is encouraging annuities. My take on the article is that some people are not able to handle the wealth; they strive for immediate gratification that the prize offers instead of planning and anticpating possible pitfalls such as health issues. Hence, the money is gone in 2-3 years. T

Mass. Lottery ends some scratch ticket games before grand prizes paid out
This is an informative thread. :)
A 2016 Chicago Tribune article says this about knowing if winners have been distributed:
While the firms don't know where the winning tickets are, the Tribune discovered the state and private firms sometimes know where they are not - part of an elaborate and opaque process to place the winning tickets into instant games. For example, in one big-prize game, the lottery knew there were no grand prizes in the first 16.8 percent of tickets printed. In an

Do Rng Computers Know What Numbers Not To Pick?
The other is that cyber security is a broad term that refers to all aspects of security.
True, but the question here is there a cyber link between an RNG drawing the numbers and another computer tabulating the combinations played and if so, is the RNG programmed to not to draw combinations that would create huge payoffs. SD only has one drawn game which uses an RNG and to save a dollar they may have linked it the main computer to record the drawing results instead of having an official do i

Mathematicians shocked to find pattern in "random" prime numbers
Thanks for the article Luminus.
Based on my research in the Pick 3, I believe that the Pick 3,4,5,6, keno and jackpot games are replete with pattern. So as opposed to proof, the article is more of a cautionary narrative for me and a reminder to keep en garde on two fronts.
Guard my tongue: To be slow in making certain(not all) statements about the lottery concerning what's true and possible and what's untrue and impossible. I wouldn't want to squelch the potential talents of very impressi

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Don Catlin is one of over 50 people who writes articles for Casino City Times and I'm one of almost 145,000 that posts on Lottery Post. We can sum up all of Catlin's knowledge about lottery play by reading his article about Richard Lustig. There are several topics about Lustig on LP that basically make the same conclusions as Catlin. It's possible Catlin never read the book and his article is nothing but quotes from LP.
