Lottery is not random it's predetermined
The idea that the IOWA lottery let a guy write an RNG, let that same guy have access to the machines without random supervision and witnesses, and used his code without an independent audit boggles my mind. Me too. I would think that episode would be burned into every lottery in the country, whether it's RNG or ball drawn, so that never happens again. I wouldn't say it can't happen again, but highly unlikely. Also, some on here are convinced that state lottery LO's are the cheater

Every Lottery Player Think About This For A Second...
How does them rigging a pick 3 game not affect you? The numbers you played could have come out instead of the loaded balls. And tons of other people who played that nights numbers could have come out. Was there ever an audit after this happened to see if pryor draws where rigged? How do you know scratchers aren't rigged? Do you honestly think there gonna send out. Let's say a 5 million dollar scratcher and not know where it went? Seems like a Lotta money to be floating around. That no one knows

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Losing tickets are OK - but you might need to prove you bought them - as in receipts - best receipts would be by debit card, it shows part or all of your card numbers ......they reserve the right to even audit your debit card or bank statements to verify purchases ......let's say you win 100K .......and use 50K of losing tickets on the long form ...... can you prove you bought $50K worth ? say your net income is $70K ........hello ! You mean you lived the whole year on $20K income. The IRS s

Will there be trouble if I win a lot of pick 3 games?
They don't keep track, if you cash them at the store. https://www.denverpost.com/2018/10/03/colorado-lottery-state-audit/ One person won the Pick 3 game 47 times in three years. The Colorado Lottery wasn t keeping track .

South Carolina's billion dollar mega millions ticket
Artist...I couldn't agree more. Many plans, ideas and goals have been discussed extensively around the dinner table. The so-called whiners ,as it has been stated, have their wants, including personal safety. I am a proponent of the anonymity factor(like Texas opts for) The need to know for clarity purposes could be addressed through independent audit of each winning jackpot by 1 of the Big 3 firms such as E Y or it could be completed by a regional firm such as C.R. I. Thank goodness that we h

Audit reveals 'questionable' Colorado Lottery wins
The Auditor report is in the story and is incorrect according to the COLORADO LOTTERY FINANCIAL AND COMPLIANCE AUDIT June 30, 2017 and 2016. Are you suggesting this report was wrong in the fiscal years 2015 and 2016 too? Most pick-3s payout well over $1 million for one drawing when a triple is drawn. Again do you really believe with two drawings a day, that pick-3 lottery is only averaging payouts of $10,000 a week? And with that low of pick-3 revenues your report suggests, why did they go

Audit reveals 'questionable' Colorado Lottery wins
Stack, It was in the article. Specifically, we identified 10 individuals who each won 15 or more times from the Pick 3 game during our review period, auditors told the Legislative's Audit Committee. In total, these 10 individuals won 230 of the 1,276 high-dollar prizes and claimed almost $326,000 of the $1.6 million paid out in prizes from the Pick 3 game during this period. Your homework says the auditors don't know what they're talking about.

Mystery NH Powerball lottery winner gets her prize, keeps her privacy — for now
Denying anonymity to winners has nothing to do with transparency. As discussed before, an outside reputable firm can audit the winners to ensure everything is above board. Why the states fight it is because flashing people's names on thousands of computer screens in each state, in 3 inch block letters for years, is free advertising for the lotteries. And they do this for years. It might be different if they released the winner's name to the msm and made it public to inquiries and that was it

CT Lottery security chief on paid leave following review of botched raffle draw
Amazing how the state (and everyone involved - auditors, unions ect) can turn something as simple as firing the idiots who messed up into a giant mess!!! Sad that we are in such a deny society and no one steps up to take responsibility for what they do anymore. A side note on the auditors. I would hope the contact with them would have it spelled out that their job is to AUDIT the process of the drawing. And failure in that one area is grounds for non payment and immediate termination. Thus th
