Tenn. Lottery CEO blames lagging sales on Powerball
On the front of the web sight it says 10 million for friday night, why did she put that up there? So we (all of Tennessee residents) will go out and spend $ 10.00 for quick picks and their own draws hoping to win the 10 million,,,,,,she will make that much plus a few million to boot (probally). And she will pocket the rest that we have already spent on that game alone. Who hired this woman? Well as a paying lottery big time (Loser) ...............................................YOU ARE NOW FIRED!!!

Do You Cheat... Tell or Dont Tell...Not what you think...
I never hide my thoughts about playing lottery games when I was married to my ex-wife. In fact, I asked several times if she would like to sit down and try to figure out numbers for a next drawing together. She wasn't interested. But for some reason she would always comment on my small winnings of under twenty five bucks. With the attitude of What's mine is mine What's yours is mine is one of the reasons I fired her.

Texas Lottery suffers computer security breach
I agree. There was no reason whatsoever, for this guy to copy confidential information onto disks after he was fired. No reason. He claims he wanted the information for possible future reference as a programmer at other state agencies. Sorry, but bullcrap. That personal information was not given to him to use and I am sure he was going to use it for criminal acts. I hope they throw the book at this guy.

Are retailers allowed??
Good for you for reporting it. clerks are NOT allowed to play scratch offs while working. I work at a gas station and some guy who used to work before me used to scratch tickets just to reveal to see the winning letter/codes, the manager caught him on camera once and fired him.

The Mega Millions Lottery Host...
You got to be kidding me. Dude, there's nothing wrong with the way he talks. He's a game show host. He's supposed to enthusiastic. Hey, I got an idea. Why don't you write to Mega Millions complaining about how the guy talks. Maybe he'll get fired. That's right, take away his livelihood. The way this guy talks is such a serious matter!

Lottery-winning doorman gets the girl but might lose job
I know in some states you don't qualify for unemployment insurance if you were fired for just cause. If it's that way in NY he can appeal and hope they don't show up for the hearing as many companies don't bother. If I won 5 mill I'd prob go on a short spending spree but would invest most of it. It's too early to say he's gonna blow it all. I wish him the best!

Do you tip your cashier when you win?
I was told by the store manager that he could be fired for accepting money from a customer. He asked me to give it to him outside the store or place it in something. So that's what I do.

This ever happen to you?
The clerk might have been afraid of being fired. Many stores forbid employees to accept a tip.Or maybe she thought your generosity would jinx her luck. Some folks are very superstitous about things like that.
