Ok so i found a problem with online lotto here in australia
Maybe Australia being a colony of Britain .
Australia became an independent nation on 1 January 1901 when the British Parliament passed legislation allowing the six Australian colonies to govern in their own right as part of the Commonwealth of Australia. The Commonwealth of Australia was established as a constitutional monarchy.

Colorado moves to forbid online lottery sales
Truer words have yet to be written.
Look at any legislation going thru state capitols and you will find a business or group which will benefit greatly. At one time, probate court in Tennessee was open to any and all. Today you must employ a lawyer to go before probate. The lawyers benefit; the family loses. This happens every year in every state capitol. Colorado is no different.

online lottery
I'm a bit confused about this online play because I've read it is not illegal
Welcome to the club!
I played online poker and it was simply setting up an account and using a regular bank checking debit account to deposit money into the online poker account. I could withdrawn from the poker account and the money would be in my debit account in less than three days. It was a legal transfer of funds for gambling to and from U.S. banks to foreign banks until Congress passed the Unlawful Inter

Should a winning system be posted on the LP?
Through legislation, some states are requiring their lotteries to return 35% of their sales to the general fund. To do it, those lotteries will have to cut expenses, reduce the prize fund, or both. What they don't understand is that by reducing the prizes the total sales will drop. They will get the 35%, but the total could be much less than what they received from the 30% or less in the past.
Which is better, 20% of $1 billion in sales or 35% of $500 million in sales?

Welfare lottery ban
It's the same as using their EBT card to buy groceries and then purchase cigarettes with cash. The real problem with this type of legislation is placing the penalty on the store clerks forcing them to ask all their customers if they are on welfare or in bankruptcy. Unless you can prove to a clerk you're not on welfare or in bankruptcy, they probably won't sell you a ticket.
While the these clerks are embarrassing all the hard working tax paying players, the people on welfare will be using the

State cuts lottery winner's benefits
Michigan woman who won $1M continued to collect $200 a month in food stamps
A Lincoln Park, Michigan, woman who won $1 million in the state lottery but continued to get food stamps has an unusual connection to the legislator seeking to outlaw what she was she's doing.
Amanda Clayton, 24, won $1 million in the lottery in September and until recently was still receiving $200 a month in food stamps to feed her and her two children.
Late Wednesday, the state Department of Human Services sai

Nevada lawmakers discuss lottery
I don't know how much clout Reid has over the Nevada state legislation but he did sponsor a Federal Internet gaming bill in the U.S. Senate that would allow millions of Americans to play poker online.
If the people of Nevada want a lottery, they should put a lottery incentive on their state ballot just like Arkansas recently did and many other states did in the past. If it wins they have a lottery and if it loses on a close vote, they can try again in a couple of years.

Do They Take (SS)FICA & Medicare?
Glad you checked in because I was asked a question about winning a jackpot that I'm not sure how to answer. Some people say the lottery will check for judgments against jackpot winners and deduct it from the winnings.
I can understand legislation that requires the lottery to check for unpaid child support or unpaid state taxes, but I don't think there are any laws or rules requiring state lotteries to act as a collection agency.
