24k, Diamonds Gold, 500,000 Jackpot, or Silver 7's. These ones have better odds. I always look at the odds before buying a scratch off. I only buy ones with at least half of the top prises remaining and odds of 1 in 3.5 (overall odds) or better.

$330 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record high
I am fascinated by the reduction of odds discussion. Each purchased single ticket has the same odds- 1 in 175+ million. If 13 tickets are purchased, the odds of winning are 13 in 175+ million. The reduction of this relationship on a fraction basis is 13 divided by 175 million, not 175 million divided by 13. Expressed as a percentage, 13 tickets have a 0.000007% chance of winning versus the odds of 0.000006% (decimal point moved one more space to the left) on a single ticket.

$330 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record high
If you buy a $1 ticket, your odds are 1 in 175,711,536. However, you can increase your odds by purchasing multiple lines. So if you buy a $5 quick pick, your odds are 1 in 35,142,307(175,711,536 / 5). I happen to have $13 worth of tickets, so my odds would be 1 in 13,516,272, which is about the same as a single line in a Pick 6/49 Lotto game.

Scratcher's Odds
Can someone please tell me how the odds are established for each prize level of a scratchers game? An example is this: In Arizona there is a $5 game I enjoy playing called Coffee Break Crossword. The Arizona Lottery website states that the odds in winning the top prize of $50,000 is 1:240,000. How is that calculated?

New California Scratch-Off Odds
Has anyone played Millions in Cash scratch off in California? It says the odds of winning is 1 in 3.49 tickets. I bought 9 tickets in one shot and they were ALL LOSERS ! How can that be? Isn't there supposed to be at least 1 winner in 9 consecutive tickets if the odds are 1 in 3.49?

My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
jimmy
#1. I know of know one who has won a lottery without a ticket
#2. The balls do not know what the odds are for the game.
#3. The odds have nothing to do with the winning set.
#4. The odds are beat each time someone wins the jackpot or
the lower prizes based on tickets purchased.
In the lottery the overall Odds are used to describe the chance of two sets matching.
Statistics would agree with the odds but do not allow for the individual player or
system. If you were l

Powerball or Megamillions The odds are against you..
The odds are just to high against you to win.The odds are more in your favor for pick 3,pick 4 ,pick 5,easy 5,cash 5 and Lotto.Over the long run you can win more with these than powerball or megamillions.I've won a lot more with pick 4 than powerball .

Which odds do you like more?
Sound like the odds of some events happening and I would have to know about the events before deciding. For example they could be the odds of winning $10 or $500 winner or more, it all depend on the expected events. If you are comparing the odds of winning $500 at 1:3003 every 60 days to the odds of winning $5000 at 1:26334 every 7 days then I might have to do some figuring before answering.

A question about lotto system odds
Odds are calculate by chances to win to chances of losing and reduced to the lowest common denominator. If you're playing craps and your point is 5, there are 4 ways you can win by rolling a five and 6 ways you can lose by rolling a 7. The odds against you are 4 to 6 and reduced to 2 to 3. Buying 100 tickets in a 6/49 game gives you 100 ways to win and by subtracting 100 from all the possible ways (13,983,816) gives odds of 100 to 13,983,716 or 1 to 139,837.
However to look at the odds more r

Need some advice
I simply made a general observation about odds and the cost of tickets, and a comparison that nobody chose to evaluate, or to respond to. Failing to convince somebody doesn't mean I didn't demonstrate the validity of my point. Stack gave an excellent real world example of why the 1:15,000 odds aren't good odds. Unless they really want to see the charity get the 2/3's that isn't being awarded in prizes, anyone who still thinks that spending $100 on a chance at the house makes sense clearly has no
