Yeah, be afraid, be very afraid. I don't believe in extremism on either side: Go nuculer or No nuclear. Bottom line: it has to outweight the risks. The risks of old technology is too great. They're still colling down Fukushima more than 2 years later, with nearly half a billion tons of radioactive water in above graound storage and still leaking into the sea each day! A regular power plant, what's the worst could happen: an explosion, and some localized damage that can be easily fixed.

Okay, the disclaimer to my following comment is this, All products and services should, in fact, be checked via quality assurance/control to promote efficient operation at all times. Now, I remember back in the day before all this additional scanner technology came about, there were (2) options to check tickets. One, go to any store and have the clerk run the ticket back through the lottery terminal. Two, simply go back to the store and pick up a printout of the current winning numbers
