PA Lottery Pay Day Ticket. Has anyone else had this happen?
Here's the deal. At work today, I bought a Pay Day ticket from the vending machine. Absolutely none of the surface had been scratched off. I scratched it, and it was a $10 winner. I went to cash it in at the end of my day, and the machine said it had already been cashed. I went to a convevnience store and got the same message. I'm waiting to hear from the lottery on this, since it may have happenend to someone else.

Self-Service Lottery Machines in New York City
Do they exist? I've been running into a surpising number of people in the lines of the two stores I normally go to. Does the city or state have them at all? I know they do in California but I have yet to see them here. The only self-service lottery machine I've seen here was a vending machine for scratchers in a grocery store. Just wondering, i'm sure people who want to play a lot, perhaps the day after a nice win, would rather use a machine than have to wait for someone to slip them all through

Instant vending machines
Quote: Originally posted by Lotto Czar on September 15, 2004We have them here in Pa. Very convienient at the mall and grocery store, but one word of warning: When you are playing, that is feeding the machine, watch out for little kids who see you and want to sneak up behind you and slap the buttons. that happened to me a few times, and then their mother yelled at me for yelling at them.If that isn't enough, then we are getting new machines (one in our local mall) that will print out on line g

Washington Lottery to begin accepting debit card payments
In a digital age, convenience is key By Kate Northrop The Washington Lottery is planning to rollout debit card payments for tickets at all its vending machines. In an increasingly digital and cashless era, offering different modes of convenience is a necessity for businesses that aim to stand out and thrive. By accepting debit payments, the Washington Lottery hopes to make it easier for players who don't always have cash on-hand. We recognize the world is evolving into a cashle

Is this weird??
I have done this both ways with $20-$25 tickets. In theory, the idea is buying at different places or at least off of different rolls that all 20 tickets could be winners. But it could also mean that all 20 tickets could be losers. Is this game near 50% sold? Based on the number of jackpots won for $250K the game needs to hit close to 50% in sales before the next grand prize is released. In either case, you'll be lucky to win $40 back which is what I'd expect you'd get back at best unlease

I'm done playing the lottery
If someone can convince me why I should continue playing their stupid games, I'll reconsider. I hear that for an extra $1 you could win $2 million. I don't see how a vending machine problem is the retailers responsibility. A vending machine is a way for a store o sell tickets and collect the commission without paying an employee. Why shouldn't equipment the store uses to take your money be the store's responsibility? You didn't call me stupid...you implied that lotterology...th

When will the Corona Virus hit LP?
That being said and this being a Lottery Forum, I ask if the Lottery is Essential? Is it worth the Risk? The lottery probably falls into the group of businesses that while they not exactly essential, serves a purpose with minimal risk. The places selling lottery tickets are open for business because they sell other products like tobacco that smokers feel are essential. And there is a risk going to grocery stores to buy essentials and most of them have a lottery terminal or a vending machine.

Does The Location Effect Chances Of winning?
Personally, I've found lone isolated stores to have more winners than city stores with lots of vendors. Also...no one has mentioned yet in this thread: lotto vending machine versus ticket roller. In my honest, honest most honest assessment, in the few times I've played machines I've never one a single red cent. I don't know why, but I haven't. Except when I've bought 10 one dollar tickets and would get a couple bucks. That's relatively low risk though. I almost had a panic attack when I fed

Illinois self-service lottery machines
it will surely save the money on gas on going to the gas station... If Pepsi and Coke can have their vending machines out there why not the lottery, but i wonder how are they going to scan for IDs... It will be good if the lottery vending machines (and actually if should be for big games and not your average pick3/pick4 only for big jackpot games) but it will be good if lottery vending machines had like a big plasma TV ontop of them to advertise...:D but what has me thinking is that we

Top 10 Issues encountered when filling out betslips (manually)
Ohio requires their retailers to only accept original play slips which must also be hand marked. That's not to say some retailers don't accept replicas or auto printed play slips. I hand mark mine after my printer places a small x over my number selections. The x is there to help me quickly see and mark the correct numbers. Florida has a similar rule. By no means am I telling you not to move forward with your play slip printer, I just want to make sure you understand why some retailers may no
