New Georgia Instant Games for 2011
Congratulations, that is great! Have you played a lot, and do you have any favorite strategies? Do you buy multiple tickets or have a favorite retailer? I am glad to know that there really are some players out there winning decent amounts. I have purchased 30 tickets of this game, and so far the most I have won is $20. Paying out 1.5 or 2 times on a ticket is of little use to me unless all of them pay out that much, because I buy a fair number of tickets, and if half of them pay $15 each or a fr

Winning at NY Take 5
I too would like to know what's up with the person in Brooklyn hitting multiple times for 2nd place in PB.
I think that's the third time in the last two months that I've seen something like that happen. It happened with a Take5 JP, but I'm not sure if it's been twice in PB (or once in Mega and once in PB) for a multiple second place win. But something's up somewhere......
Who does it, and why do they play the same set of numbers 9 times at the same store????
Gotta be a big time gambler

Lottery bill could limit winner's take
One too many times, I saw people standing in line who appeared to be poor and they were buying tons of lottery tickets.
I don't know how appearing to be poor proves the players are on welfare because I stopped on my way home from working in a factory many days and I certainly wasn't dressed in my Sunday best. Anybody would have thought I was very poor especially when I got into the beater car I drove to work.
This bill won't prevent anyone from buying tickets or collecting over $600 when

Second Chance Drawings
Massachusetts has been doing more and more second chance drawings with some decent prizes attached. Many are the sports themed scratch tix like Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins where you have a real decent chance at winning team gear and clothing. The newest one is for the Price is Right Ticket and has 6 drawings that give away 3200 showcase prize packs for each drawing as well as trips to Vegas. I like this aspect of scratch ticket gambling and have won lots of cool prizes. If you look at the winne

why is it better to play $5QP instead of $1QP,$2QP,$3QP, 0r $4QP at mega millions and powerball?
I have never denied the fact that you get more chances by playing multiple tickets. But it is also a fact that you spend more money in the short run.By the way, based on my observations participating in pools is not such a bargain. Pools are great for small wins, but when it comes to winning jackpots they are not more successful than individuals. Unless you consider two people playing a big pool.If you track powerball and mega millions winners history you will be amazed how many jackpots have be

Remember Jack Whittaker?
He won 315 million on Christmas day 2002. He walked away with a 114 million lump sum after taxes.
In the seven years since then he got divorced, lost both his granddaughter and her boyfriend to drug overdoses. He's been robbed multiple times; is currently being sued by a casino for bouncing 1.5 million worth of checks, and been the target of legal complaints. Then last July his daughter was found dead. He also claims to be broke.
He now says he wishes he'd torn up the ticket.
How does t

THIS Is How It's Done (BIG PowerBall Win)
If I understand what he wrote, he would have won a bit more than $1600 if he had played the suggested numbers for al of the drawings. That would mean an outlay of $2304 for tickets (figuring 12 weeks at $192/week), plus $300 for the subscription. That's a return of better than 67% of the cost. Not a profit, but better than the 50% that PB puts in the prize pool, and even better when you figure that more than half of the prize pool goes to the jackpot.
Of course that still doesn't mean that St

How do I compute the odds of winning a lottery twice?
How much effort do you want to put into it? Multiply the odds together, like any other fraction. 1/4 times 1/4 is 1/16. 1/41,000,000 * 1/14,000,000 is 1 in 574,000,000,000,000.
How long will you continue to play? Each chance increases your odds of winning, whether it's all for the same drawing or spread over many drawings. If the overall odds are 1 in 41 million, your odds with 5 chances are 5 in 41 million, or 1 in 8.2 million. For the other, it's 5 in 14 million or 1 in 2.8 million. That ma

Super 7
thanks about the comments. i get too intense at times.
plus you were supposed to lie to me about winning. lol. just as in the states most of the winners of the big lotteries are are from the middle to the eastern part of the country.
i am heading down to oregon to pick me up a ticket for the powerball at 150 million. do you ever cross into Michigan or new york to get a megamillion ticket? you know we don't care if you are canadian because we will pay you too and send you back to canada wit

can it make a difference when, where you buy a qp
I have noticed that with Powerball if I pick a couple of my own lines and let the terminal pick the other 3 plays on a $5 ticket, the terminal will duplicate some of the numbers that I picked on my tickets in the QP lines. However, if I pick my first line of the Multiwin Lotto game (that is what they call it here in DE. In PA it is known as Match 6 and in Maryland it is known as Multimatch . They are all the same game but with different ball totals to select from. A few other states have a 5 out
