13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Last year lots of the jackpots that were hit were very small. You remember that phenomena? People were scratching their heads wondering if Powerball had finally hit the wall, because it seemed to get hit so often. As I described above, when the jackpots get really big, the number of pool players grows exponentionally. And the jackpots have been getting huge as of late. In fact, I ran a news story stating how this was the first back-to-back $200+ million jackpot. People play Powerball t

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Sincere Congratulations ...to the employees who won Pools are nice and we've witnessed several pools pay off, but overall, I'd rather buy my tickets alone. Eleven contributing a total of $55 plus two adding another $5; the other recent pool win played $40 at the record jackpot level. So at that unique moment when the jackpot reaches a specific level, such as a record level, any one of us can adequately 'compete' individually with the typical pool. As mentioned previously, and lookin

a sorta stupid question for the math type
meg4m1|10ns, I still don't understand what information your 5X56 chart with 68211 in every position is trying to show. What law of physic did you use to define the perfect world you described? I would think in any world perfect or not, if five balls were randomly drawn out a pool of 56, the results would be just as unpredictable each time. In the last 56 MegaMillions drawings 74% of the numbers were from a pool of 33 which might suggest a bias that can be exploited. RJOh

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $117 million
Keep on rolling over til May 30th!! when NC Powerball players get their go at it!!!!!!!!!!! I will have the office Powerball pool up and running by then with a signed notorized letter stating the rules of the office pool. At the end of the letter, the last sentence will be If you don't participate then you are not entitled to share in any of the money won. Rules of the Game. I would appreciate some feedback as to what my legal letter should say. thanks to all for future feedback.

Buying Mega Millions lottery tickets a strictly defensive act
Well, if 10m and 300m makes no difference to you in term of retirement, than play in a pool would be a good idea. Buy $30 ticket by youself, you might win 300m and tickets cost you $1 each. Spend $1 in a 30 people pool, you get the same odd to win 10m, but now tickets cost you 3c each.

Hello
LottoGroups, Pool managers are usually too lazy to come up with any strategy for winning a lottery other than buying lots of tickets using other people money and even then they expect to be paid. If you're dealing with one over the internet or phone , it's probably a scam which doesn't involve buying any lottery tickets at all. Sharing lottery strategies and asking people to send money for a lottery scheme are not the same and you're not so dumb that you don't know the different. If you

Powerball (moneyball) or Powerplay
I would (and did) power up my one ticket. Still keeps my 1 ticket per $100,000,000 policy, only now I have the chance to improve the lower end of the prize pool (where I swim). Or use the dollar to improve your chances to own the whole pool. Money is money. I personally want to go after the big win. Should I win the 2nd tier, without the PP, I'd wait in line for the check to arrive! Probably saying, while waiting, I should have spent the dollar on the PP! Also saying, I wish the extra do

Mega Millions Jackpot Winner Still Unknown
Weeellllll. we now no one thing. It was NOT a pool that won!. You could never find two or more people who could keep their mouths shut for a week! Hell, that recent family winner couldn't even keep a family secret, no way you can keep a pool quite. The little brat was on the internet in just three days, and the lawn keeper didn't last that long. Now we stand around and discover the sole winners decision making capabilities. Unless, of course, they lost the ticket. That would be the ulti

jackpot lottery pool
What is the difference between joining an eight person pool, contributing five bucks, and buying 40 tickets, or just going out and buying forty tickets on your own? One lucky person, or, eight chances at having the lucky person in your pool! Last week-end, the luck was with one of those eight people, and NOT with this unlucky person! The number of tickets didn't matter. It was that one person, in eight, who had the luck; or, the combination of luck that the eight generated. I don't do poo

Last day for Lotto South
Unless they're going to do something with the money that isn' mentioned in the article, it looks like the correct answer may be that a lot of it is going to stay in the state coffers. If Kentucky lists the number of winners on their website they don't do it in a very obvious place. I'm not going to spend a lot of time looking, but based on the numbers for Virginia and Georgia it looks like doubling the payouts for lower prizes won't even come close to using all of the money from the jackpot pri
