I have been working on this off and on for a while and it is a work in progress. It is not meant to serve as legal opinion or legal advice. $750 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges to 4th-largest ever
I read an article saying that one of the biggest misconceptions Jason Kurland battles is that he asks a percentage of the win. He said in reality he charges a flat rate. Do you think that means a flat hourly rate or you and he come up with some sort of mutually agreeable number and that is what you pay no matter how much hand holding he has to do? I also saw him say that lottery winners are super paranoid at first and most will not tell him their name or how much they won at the initial point

From the article Meat provided the only fact is Hung collected the winnings and left town. Here's a fun fact: The lawsuit states the workers had a verbal agreement but that because of their friendship, they didn t think they needed to write up a contract. Are contradictory facts something like alternative facts ?

$750 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges to 4th-largest ever
The lotteries should win a Hype in Advertising award...... It's gone now but yesterday there was an article that said when all is said and done and since most winners opt for cash a solo winner, after state and Federal taxes would get about $211M. $750M still sound like $750M?

Truly random numbers
I think it s a great idea! Why not? Problem with random is no one really understands what random means in the universe. We have some simple definition of yeah that s what random is, but we don t understand what it is. That s a fact. Article on modeling prime numbers as atom like particles very interesting. Salvatore Torquato. Prime numbers are interesting. Primes ending in 1 are less likely to also be followed by another prime ending in 1. Food for thought; prime numbers are supposed to be v

$273M Mega Millions jackpot winner from NJ says he initially forgot the lottery ticket at the store
Lottery tickets ARE bearer instruments which is why you are always encouraged to sign the back of the ticket. Here is a good article from FindLaw on that: https://blogs.findlaw.com/law_and_life/2013/12/for-lotto-winner-finders-keepers-means-1m.html You know, misinformation is way worse than no information.

My Lottery Dream Home on HGTV
I generally don't watch the show but decided to catch this last one that aired Friday night: S6 E10 Most Outrageous Purchases. As it rolled on, I remembered why I didn't like it but the last house in the third and final segment caught my eye b/c it was so familiar when they teased it before the commercial break. It was the Eagle Crest Estate, bought by a $180 million lottery winner Rick Knudsen. (I guess this was just a repackaged episode with segments from previous episodes. I dunno; like I

Super Bowl 53
Now I'm wondering if some sports book or a lot of sports books were trying to keep a 'balanced book' on the SB and had a lopsided amount of New England bets and the article about the 'mystery man' was in fact fake news. just a thought. The real money to be made in betting sports is on baseball, no point spread and the underdog often wins. People would rather bet pre season football with 80 man rosters then in season baseball games, go figure.

Super Bowl 53
Makes me wonder; This article says a 'mystery man' bet $3.8M on the Rams. He bet them at +120, that means every $100 wins $120, but they have to win, no point spread. That's called a money line bet. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/report_bettor_x_wagers_38_million_on_rams_to_win_super_bowl_liii/s1_12680_28350302
