Trending
Bertil,I'm certainly no expert on trending or filters, but I've read a little about this concept. Most applications that I've seen separate a pool of numbers into groups. Those groups are then cross-referenced with temporal draw ranges. I suppose the groups and ranges can be arbitrarily set by the person employing such a method, or they might be built into the software which incorporates them. For that matter, every number in a pool could be analyzed individually rather than as a part of a group

South Lotto Test
For what it's worth:A wheel to guarantee a minimum of one 3# prize in a 6/49 game requires at least 163 lines for a split wheel consisting of a 22,6,3,3,77 and a 27,6,3,4,86 wheel placed side by side. A straight up build without splitting the fields would take about 300 lines. Code for wheels, first number is the Pool size, second is Ticket or Play size, third is Prize or Match size, forth is Hits winning numbers in our Pool to guarantee Prize, fifth is how many lines it takes to do it. Are There Any Real Lottery Secrets?
Quote: Originally posted by dragon on August 06, 2004In a 6/49 game, if all 49 numbers were to be used up by drawings evenly, you would run out of numbers after only eight games. This would mean that all winning numbers in the next game were hits within the last eight games. If you suggest therefore picking your numbers out of the winning games of the most recent drawings, you are simply suggesting the obvious. It is like suggesting always picking your numbers out of the 49 provided, which is wh

Mega Millions Office Pool Advice
I have been running a pool of 29 people for over two years for the Mega Millions. I collect $20 every 10 draws. That works out to two dollars per person for ten draws. When I purchase the tickets I copy them and spend out a digital copy via email to everyone before the the first draw. I have a cap of 29. I ruled that it will not exceed 30. Of course drop out anytime but I do not any one back in. The reason is because it becomes complicated. Email me and I'll explain. Since it is my pool I se

Mega Millions Office Pool Advice
I think that taking uneven contributions is just asking for trouble. Money can sometimes bring out the wrost in people, and with so much money at stake people can do some unbelievable things. So even if you have something in writing, and even if everything is agreed to in advance, and even if you have an air tight case, you may still have to go to court to prove it. And in court, only the attorneys will win. I can see a situation where you have 10 people in the pool, and because of uneven contri

Stay with your numbers
I've tried staying with the same numbers for long periods, reasoning that it's much easier for a fixed target to be hit than a moving one. I had some success. but no results to brag about. Given what we know about the nature of the beast, it seems wise to make some modifications from time to time. I generally like to start with some core numbers based an my selection theory, and then I adjust them after each draw if data and experience suggest that. Sometimes it's a minor adjustment and sometime

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
the only example that clearly reflects reducing odds with the number of tickets purchased formula, is when you purchase half of the possible outcomes of a drawing. You have a 50% chance of winning. But in the case of the pick 3 straight combo paying $500, would investing $500 to reduce your odds in half, and having one of your 500 numbers drawn winning ? No, it's just a break even prize. Odds are normally figured with the inclusion of break even prizes. In another scenario, assume ever

Kentucky Derby..
I used to be a serious horse player some years ago. Then I worked with the ponies for about ten years and the allure faded. There's just too much that goes on behind the scenes that you can't account for with a racing form and handicaping skills. I went to the Indiana Downs OTB in Clarksville a few weeks ago. It was a very nice place, but it was soooooo BORING. I stayed for a few races and then left. I guess the live atmosphere of the racetrack adds more to the betting experience than I realized
