Colorado man who unwittingly split a $4.8M jackpot with scammer is fighting the Colorado Lottery
We only make bets on future drawings. Hello, McFly? Betting on a future drawing is exactly what Amir did when he bought the QP that happened to have the numbers that won as a result of Tipton rigging the game. Amir bet on that future drawing by buying a ticket that had an extremely small chance of winning and had the game been random, as it was supposed to be, he almost certainly would have lost. Instead of getting a random result Tipton's manipulation eliminated the vast majority of possib

Lottery-scamming brothers avoid asset seizures by transferring property to their mother
Is everybody just plain stupid or what? These brothers just proved to us all that every lottery is NOT random, the numbers are predetermined well in advance which means a computer and it's program determines the outcome of which tickets win and lose..I'll bet the farm you will have the losing ticket, and anyone who is associated with the crooks that are running the lottery are laughing all the way to the bank. The scam is not on the brothers, hell I commend them, it is on THE SCAMMED PLAYERS. So

Colorado man who unwittingly split a $4.8M jackpot with scammer is fighting the Colorado Lottery
Ten years later, Colorado Bureau of Investigation agents visited Massihzadeh to interview him about his winning number because they were investigating a criminal scheme to rig lotteries. and Massihzadeh, who let the computer choose his numbers, was not suspected of wrongdoing. I guess it's possible to make a self pick look like a QP, but the lottery has the ticket and know exactly what it was and where it was purchased. So it's baffling as to why they interviewed Massihzadeh. There are le

Iowa lottery lawsuit granted class action, affecting 7.2 million tickets in 19 states
Eddie affected so many lives. Just like when MM and PB draw numbers 94% don't have. Maybe we should all non jackpot winners should sue. Without the melodrama, if any lives were actually affected, the blame should be on the people who hired Eddie and the lottery he worked for. Is the Multi-State Lottery Association responsible for paying all the affected lives if the Hexham Investments Trust can't? Even though the numbers Tipton picked were the only numbers that could win the jackpot, pla

Rigged Lottery
As much as we would like to agree with you, we can't. Powerball and Mega Millions are ball drawn lotteries. Powerball however, does employ a computer picked multiplier. Is there the possibility these can be rigged, yes. Unfortunately, we need proof, not accusations. Good luck though.

Florida lottery to roll out new game
I agree that the numbers drawn by the lottery as part of its nightly drawing is a completely different thing than the method that quick picks are generated on a lottery ticket. They are two separate issues that should not be conflated. However, I will also say that in the case of these specific types of games, where you can pick your own numbers for one line but the other two lines are always computer-generated, it is a valid concern that there is no way to select the other two lines yourself

Investigation finds lottery scamming Tipton brothers have repaid virtually nothing
What a MESS !!!!!!! All from people wanting the RNG hiring an unethical person with a previous background of wrongdoing.... I have very limited sympathy for the folks in charge. You made a conscientious choice to hire Eddie Tipton How did that work out for you idiots ? RNG ought to stand for Rigged Not Genuine I truly feel sorry for the participants who paid in over those years, only to have opportunities completely squashed by 1 dirtbag and his associate(s) But yet, the RNG continues o

NY Gov Cuomo vetoes bill that would have allowed lottery jackpot winners to remain anonymous
A 500 million dollar jackpot can get you a lot of things, but anonymity isn't one of them. If the bill specified jackpot winners over $500 million, it's easy to understand why it was vetoed and might be understandable if it didn't include all prize winners over $601. In pushing the bill, state Sen. Kathy Marchione (R-Saratoga County) and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther (D-Sullivan County) had said the idea of giving the option of privacy is to protect lottery winners from being targets of sc

North Carolina: 8/1 - 8/31/2018
Repeats, 1-off's (of what you think are coming), mirrors, 6/9 flips, delayed #'s are the norm with NCEL after New ticket Tuesday week (When new scratch offs are released) adn we head into end of a month. As of now, they are scamming us so people stop playing, then they can drop what SHOULD have already dropped and the payout is lower. I encourage everyone to watch the payout amounts throughout a month and you will see the average is between 90-125k on average after mid-month of each month.

How North Carolina scratch-off lottery tickets are distributed
People sometimes think a lottery is in existence to lose money for the state and make money for the players. The lotteries have always been and shall always be a business for the state. If a business loses money, then it is a poorly run business that can't survive. There will be winners, of course. But there will always be more losers. That doesn't mean it's rigged. Like Raven said, when you buy a ticket you take the risk that it will be a loser. I checked the NC scorecard, and it's rat
