The Lottery Changed My Life
The problem was that i received nothing from my brother and his wife. Even in trial they never even attempted to prove that. I didnt flash anything. All our trouble began when my uncle called the police..a month after they had the money. He then met with an overzealous lottery detective. They crafted a story which couldnt be proven or disproven. ( They said i scratched off tickets myself and found the winner and gave it to my brother..who gave it to his girlfriend.)..despite the cameras rolling

Woman nearly throws away $2M lottery ticket
Congratulations! Forgot about the anonymous part, but no great loss couldn't find winners section on Michigan website anywhere.
Was wondering about their ages then could ascertain as to why they took the cash option--just speculating I suppose.

Gas station clerk finds lottery ticket worth $1 million, returns to owner
A Lincoln County, Kansas, man is $1 million richer, thanks to a Salina gas station employee. The lottery winner's brother accidentally dropped the winning ticket at a gas station over the weekend, before the numbers were checked.
The winner, who lives in Lincoln Co. and chose to remain anonymous, told lottery officials he was rushing to go watch the NCAA Tournament when they decided to stop in Salina for gas.
My brother went in to check my tickets. He apparently dropped the unsigned Mega

Can I form a trust to remain anonymous when I claim my prize?
No. If you choose to claim your Lottery prize in the name of a legal entity, such as a trust, the Pennsylvania Lottery will release the name of the entity and other relevant information, including the entity s beneficiaries, partners or shareholders.

What's the dumbest thing you did playing the lottery?
I've occasionally bought tickets twice, too.
For the current PB run I happened to be in a state where I can be anonymous and pay less in state tax, so I bought tickets with 3 advance plays, and a second set of numbers that I play when the jackpot gets high enough. I also got 3 advance plays for MM. Unfortunately I handed the clerk the slip with only my usual PB numbers as well as the slip with both sets and the MM slip, so I spent $6 on a ticket I didn't mean to buy. I won a few bucks with th

Court hears arguments on $559M lottery winner's plea to remain anonymous
This probably won't be popular but I hope she gets paid - anonymously and that this sets a precedent for all states with a lottery.
The only entities I can see pushing 'right to know' are lotteries themselves, nothing sells more tickets like a big winner and the second entity is very nosy people and paranoid people, They never said who won, the ________ lottery is keeping the money.
Can anyone point out any anonymous state that closed down its lottery?
Ut oh.

NH Lottery Commission wants Powerball winner's lawsuit dismissed, citing Right-to-Know Law
There are 6 states that let you remain anonymous as do other country's. Why is it that people don't have a right to know there? I don't feel like I have a right to know who she is. It doesn't matter to me, but obviously it matters to some people, and those are the ones I'd be wary of. I hope she wins her case.
The officials in NH say that people want transparency in the lotteries. We do. They can start by helping get ALL the state lotteries to be ball drawings only like NH's is.

NH Lottery Commission wants Powerball winner's lawsuit dismissed, citing Right-to-Know Law
All of this because the winner signed the ticket. Kind of takes the fun out of winning.
Last time the state legislature voted for anonymity the governor vetoed it.
I hope the court rules in her favor.

NH Lottery Commission wants Powerball winner's lawsuit dismissed, citing Right-to-Know Law
The New Hampshire lottery commission is asking a judge to dismiss a recent lawsuit brought forward by a local woman claiming to own the winning $560 million Powerball ticket and fighting to remain anonymous.
Petitioner's desire for normalcy and anonymity is substantially outweighed by the public's right to transparency in the operation of lottery games, wrote Assistant Attorney General John Conforti.
According to the state's motion to dismiss the lawsuit, the lottery commission believes i

Is it possible to be anonymous in a non anonymous state?
When did I say that?
You still can't stay on topic or remember what you posted. Claiming via trust in a non anonymous state is not the same as refusing to provide her name or where she lived . Besides your lottery news is 10 year old; do you think the judge in New Hampshire will rule in favor of Jane Doe if she wears large sunglasses too?
Which part of claiming by trust (and not the disguise) was the reason the Illinois winner could claim anonymously is confusing you this time?
