20-year-old Florida man claims $451M Mega Millions jackpot
Brad Duke is the name of the Star, Idaho winner who wants to turn his $80 million into one billion dollars. He has adjusted his time frame and said that this is a lifelong quest.
The article on Shane Missler suggests kidnap and ransom insurance for very large jackpots.
I heard that you should manage your new found wealth like a college endowment fund. Maintain and preserve it.
An unexpected vacation away from your homes will be required of winners of this size jackpot. The media and

Someone won the Mega Millions last night for $450 million
The official site has now posted an article saying the winner is in Florida! I can't post links, but here is part of the text:
Big Mega Millions jackpot winner in Florida!
RELEASE DATE: 1/6/2018
It will be a very Happy New Year for a lucky Mega Millions ticket holder in Florida, as a single ticket sold in the state matched all six numbers drawn Friday night. The winning numbers for January 5 were the white balls 28, 30, 39, 59 and 70, plus the gold Mega Ball 10.

Synchronized multi-state lottery jackpots increase to combined $878 million
I agree Bleuchien and second the hard work. For those of us that have busy lives and limited lottery playing time, the free features are great. The weekly Maddog/Fja competitions are my favorite.
And I love the quote by Todd in a prior article about how the group is a watchdog type of group. All the members add value and diversity.
Lottery feeeeva time!!!

SC Lottery will set aside $19.6 million for potential payouts to cover glitch
I saw this article when Todd first posted it, interesting! And I may add, that just this morning on radio station wham1180 in Rochester, the station did a news release on this. In my opinion the state should pay I feel. To me this is a back door fraud by the states lottery commission. (My opinion only.)
The people were loyal, they paid their price, the ticket was printed, the ticket said they won. Pay up! Corporate money, greed, is dirty pool.

Georgia Lottery denies millions in prizes to winners of scratch-off games
So, I'll take Georgia's side on all the cases mentioned in the article except for that of Sunitabahen Patel. I did not see any evidence or claim from the state that Sunitabahen Patel either was a store owner, or had any kind of relationship with a store owner; just a ridiculous argument that her son scanned the ticket. It's against lottery rules to give a ticket to your adult child to go independently scan (eg, not contact with a clerk) a scratch ticket to verify that it is indeed a winner? And

Georgia Lottery denies millions in prizes to winners of scratch-off games
LOL @ JOE Big Lotto.
I found that part i read over few x odd.
Discriminative anyone? So what. His last name is Patel.
I just don't like the feel of this article and what's going on. Good they are suing for their five million.

Ontario Lottery awards man half of $6.1M lottery prize with remainder in legal limbo
The article says They shared everything what exactly does that mean? If that was so, why did they not have a joint banking account, a lottery slush fund where both parties can dip into to play the game. You know, hey honey, it's me. Did you purchase any tickets on your way home from work today? No, okay don't worry, l will pick them up. Thanks bye. Instead, Maurice purchases the winning ticket with he's own money. Probably couldn't believe he's good fortune when he won- l finally get a chance to

Ontario Lottery awards man half of $6.1M lottery prize with remainder in legal limbo
she checked if he did buy a ticket, and then when she asks him if it won, he says no and moves out 5 days later
Where's the evidence that it's him and his friends that are liars and not her and the sources close to her?
If you read it to the end you should be wondering if there might be any text messages that would support one version or the other and how credible his friends' claims are that he had been wanting to end the relationship. Before winning he had no financial motive to lie ab

Mass. Lottery ends some scratch ticket games before grand prizes paid out

The article oddly didn't mention that, I believe, many state lotteries know how many winners they've distributed, even if they don't know where. And they know if this number is less than the number that would eventually be distributed if all tickets were distributed. That part of the story would be more interesting.
I can assure you that Lotteries do NOT know how many winners they've distribuited. They order the game printed from one of their vendors, wh

Arizona Lottery pulls second computerized drawing machine over duplicate numbers
I distrust RNGs in lotteries because they have the potential to be hacked in ways that can be invisible. I would prefer all lotteries to use physical devices.
However, the technology itself is sound. If the machine was properly set up and protected, it would produce viable random numbers. Intel chips, for example, use thermal noise to generate a seed. From the RdRand Wikipedia article:
The entropy source for the RDSEED instruction runs asynchronously on a self-timed circuit and uses
