Lotto America multi-state lottery game tickets on sale Sunday
Glad that I read this article as I was thinking the starting JP would be $2 million, not the actual $15 million from the Hot Lotto rollover. Glad that MUSL did the right thing and push the jackpot from the old game into Lotto America, except it won't be all cash and taxes paid like Hot Lotto was. I also like that this game won't be an RNG game!
Dissapointed that New Hampshire has decided to wait until January to participate in this game. Fortunately I live near the Maine/NH state line and onl

Maryland postal worker wins $10 million scratch-off lottery jackpot
The article said he worked for the U.S. postal service....there a many jobs that do not require delivering mail (I did not see where it said that he was a mailman)
It is possible that he works in one of the offices or has a desk job.
Nonetheless, if he is close to retirement I can see why he would stick it out to get full pension.
(Congrats and blessings to him and his family!!!)

Multi-state Mega Millions lottery game changing this week
No way would I do that $3 option; $3 with MP sure.
They could have had a short article just stating 100% price increase effective 28 OCT 17 and been done with it.
Someone out there enlighten me. Are MM PB both owned by MUSL? I believe MM is in GA where drawings take place and PB headquartered in IA with drawings in FL???

Lottery rigger warned officials about computerized drawing machines years ago
Computerized drawings can easily be manipulated. In the article it was stated by Northrup, I don't know the answer why they are so dedicated to computerized drawings. It might just be because they are easier. This is not why there is so much dedication to computerized drawings. The focus seems to have always been on the cheater who uses these compromised numbers to select winning numbers. Shouldn't the focus be on the actual lottery commissions that use computerized drawings? After all, the lott

Retired N.J. police chief scammed 95-year-old victim out of $29K
I have little sympathy for either of them. The lottery scam is well worn and pre-dates the world-wide-web. Furthermore, many lotteries post bulletins warning people of such scams; lottery will never ask for money to redeem a prize. Also, one must have bought a ticket or entered a drawing to win.
It's sad how powerful the force of greed is to cause some to convince themselves that they can win without participating, and sending money to claim money is a normal thing.
At $200 minimum per mon

Florida Pick 2 Could Be Rigged
The only reason I could imagine that there would be any kind of chip inside a ball is to embed a unique code or serial number inside each ball, for identification purposes, to ensure that the ball has not been replaced by a fake that has different weight or size characteristics.
The description of lottery balls as being like a Nerf is strange. The only types I have ever seen are hard, heavy rubber balls and ping-pong balls. Seems to me that a Nerf ball would be too light weight, and the spong

What are the lines like where you're at?
I haven't seen any lines either here in Texas.
Maybe a lot of players read the Lottery Post news article titled Lottery rigging mastermind sentenced to 25 years in prison where Eddie Tipton, former security director of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL), admitted to rigging computer programming code to produce winning numbers netting Tipton and his accomplices millions of dollars. Tipton was formerly a programmer with the Multi-State Lottery Association, the agency that administers st

Wed. Powerball lottery jackpot jumps to $700 million
Roll-over is looking very likely, and expect LP is ready for the onslaught of traffic, because it's going to get crazy like last time. Saw an article, I think it was on Consumerist, that mentioned USAMega. It's going to be wall-to-wall lottery news, if it rolls to a $billion. Get those tickets early.
Increasingly, many casual players won't bother with PB nor MM until jackpots are upwards of $500 million. $Billion dollar jackpots is what many players expect these days, especially being hitting

$535 MILLION: Huge Powerball sales sparks early jackpot increase
It has. Back in 2013, Powerball advertised an estimated jackpot of $600 million annuity and yet the final tally at draw time was ~$590 million. I'm surprised the Powerball consortium didn't cover the difference like many states do with their in-state jackpot games. Doesn't inspire confidence to see a jackpot advertised at X amount and then see the final payout being noticeably less.
It wasn't a huge difference, relatively speaking, but deceptive advertising nevertheless. Many lotteries don't
