Wild stab in the dark. I someone tries to claim a win with an expired ticket they will be refused. The rules clearly state that there is an expiry date. Once the expiry date has been reached, the ticket is no longer a bearer asset . It is just a piece of paper. The lottery has (probably) an obligation to publise that there is an outstanding ticket and that it will expire on date X.
