$510 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars into top 10
The article stated:
Powerball is played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Whatever happened to Puerto Rico?

$650 million in lottery jackpots up for grabs this week
Don't believe everything you read. The article got it right. The earlier post not so much.
MM reached $540 million and was won on 7/8/16. The PB jackpot for 7/9/16 was $288 million. The last time I checked the 9th was after the 8th, so the PB jackpot didn't pass the $300 million mark until MM was won and dropped back to $15 million.
Probability says that PB should have rolled tonight, so if that's the news we get shortly this will be the first time that both jackpots were over $350 million

Massachusetts has more repeat lottery winners than any other state
Hello all ~waving~ It's my first time here and posting. So nothing fancy yet.
Millionswanted that's the point and the very reason why there is reason for suspicion. This article is speaking of the exceptions that cause suspicion and the need to be investigated not the normal lottery player who is playing legitimately. Look at the amount of money won, stores visited in a day none the less. That is not normal and I don't care what anyone says. Most of us stick to certain areas due to the nature

Man sues California Lottery for not honoring winning $5M Scratcher ticket
I agree with everything you said, except the he's fat and lazy and father's an idiot parts of course, lol. If what we've read in this article is all there is to the plaintiff's case, I lament to say that I wish they could have been a bit more creative in establishing a legitimate claim. Your angle, KY Floyd, of proving that the clerk knew the kid was under 18 begins to wend it's way toward that creativity, especially if they can then bring in a little philosophical reasoning into it to muddy the

Texas plan would tap lottery revenue for teacher bonuses
From this article it sounds like the Tx Lottery was not set up solely for education.
It never matters where lottery proceeds are supposed to go.
The legislators (even the ones in Illinois) come up with a budget that includes how much will be spent on the different things that need to be funded, and then the state spends that amount of money on those things. Using $1 billion in lottery profits to fund education simply lets them reduce funding from other sources of revenue by that $1 billi

Illinois lost $4 million by halting Powerball, Mega Millions sales
$4 million isn't all that much in the whole scope of things. And as the article points out, some players chose to play other games instead. Though, presumably, many players stopped playing entirely. So the loss could be somewhat higher than the $4 million. Regardless, relatively small amount compared to what the lottery takes in over the course of a year. Likely among the top reasons Illinois didn't seem too worried about the PB / MM games shutdown / not paying some winners timely on and off ove

Network of dummy online stores used to hide internet gambling payments
My credit card got hit by one of these a few years ago. It appeared to be a furniture store in London. When I dug further, I found several other sites that looked identical to the first one selling tools, cakes, video games, you name it. The 2 things they had in common were the same credit card processor in Germany and the same mail drop in London. It wasn't the same company in the article, but they were doing the same thing.
I told my credit card company this and they said they'd look int

Woman sues casino that offered her steak dinner instead of $43 million jackpot
Just re-read the original article. How stupid/entitled does she think she is? I mean come on, come back the NEXT DAY to see how much she won? You never, ever leave a slot machine you think won on. All the jackpots I won they come quickly, get your driver's license and fill out initial paperwork for you to hold onto until they come with security and pay you right then and there. You also have to present the piece of paper they gave you.
At several casinos around the country I've asked if

You ought to read your posts more frequently before opening your Gob,as the Irish would say. I asked a simply question about GA, you the one who went off on religion and calling people anti Christs and the like. You then proceeded to throw in the so called left as non Christians.l voted for neither candidate, so that does not apply here. The only reason l called you out on the GA thing was because when my Grandmother died, the pr
