To add insult to injury dvidva about the Mega Millions hitting at 31 million, the combination was 14-29-32-43-49 MB 14. The first time MM jackpot was hit with a double number since 2003 and the first since California joined Mega Millions. I think they need to either increase the number of MBs back to 3rd version [52] and keep the number of WBs at 56 or increase the price to $2 with same odds.

CASH Only, I think people in Illinois don't want their lotto to go to a 5+1 game because they already had Mega Millions. That's why they focus on Mega Millions more than their own lotto.

mega millions vs. powerballReply
Well, what do you expect? Most of the lotteries that play Powerball aren't strong enough to have a rolling jackpot game on their own, unlike the Mega Millions lotteries. The reason Powerball was originally formed (as Lotto America) was to unite some small lottery states together to compete with the big lottery states' rolling jackpot games. The reason Mega Millions was formed was because Powerball worked too well and was starting to drain money from the big state lotteries.

Last night's Mega Millions winner chose CVO. Texas and NY still require the choice to be made when you play. AFAIK all three Texas Mega Millions winners have chosen CVO.

If you look at power balls numbers for this coming wed and subtract the power ball from what mega millions had to could come up wuth some of the numbers. or maybe some one has already done this.

I have noticed that sales for the game went down since NY joined Mega Millions. Also, remember that players will play whichever game has the bigger jackpot, and quite a few play both. Remember that sometimes Mega Millions will have the bigger jackpot, and sometimes Lotto will have the bigger jackpot.

The bonus ball itself was not the problem, as Mega Millions has the Mega Ball. Texas Two-Step is a 4+1 game. Matching the bonus ball alone won nothing, unlike in Mega Millions.
