MM at 265M !!
One thing that is against Mega Millions is the size of their player base. Because they have so many more players that could potentially buy Mega Millions tickets is why they have a hard time getting to the record level. Plus they did not shoot themselves in the foot with a messed up backloaded annuity or a cap so that every one can share in the fun. They actually have a nice annuity to cash ratio. I wish that I had both games in my state got to have options.-weshar75

Jackpot Payouts
Mega Millions is new here in California. Do the large jackpot lotteries like Mega Millions and Powerball give any money up front when a winning ticket is presented ? I know Super Lotto didn't the last time that I heard.......

Mega Millions Sets A New Record
Mega Millions did roll to $162 million, or $92.9 million cash. I think if Powerball rolls tomorrow, its cash value will be less than Mega Millions'.

Reach $300m in these current runs
Mega Millions' cash jackpot is currently only $2 million less than Powerball's. If neither jackpot is won, Mega Millions' cash jackpot could get ahead of Powerball's by next week.

$500 Million Jackpot
I am feeling optimistic that this run of Mega Millions will reach $500 million. We have 45 shares (members) in the Mega Millions group so far. I have hoping to reach 100 shares by the time the jackpot reaches $500 million.

powerball cash value
I have an idea - just ignore the annuity values. Mega Millions simply sells more tickets per draw than Powerball, enough to get the same cash jackpot in seven rolls it takes Powerball nine rolls to attain. It's not the MUSL's fault that the Mega Millions population outnumbers the Powerball population by 60 million.

Cash $ 7 million difference PB MM
It's disgusting that Mega Millions can get the same cash jackpot in six rolls that Powerball needs eight rolls to obtain. Powerball's jurisdictions just can't compete against the rich state lotteries, even though Powerball has a lot more jurisdictions than Mega Millions.

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $101 million
It really needs to roll over a lot, because when you campare the mega millions cash payout of 40 mil on a 68mil jackpot, and powerball is almost double 101 mil for a cash payout of 47.9 mil. Id like to have the mega millions roll some, much better payout

$270M Mega Millions lottery jackpot claimed anonymously
The winner of the biggest lottery jackpot won in Ohio has claimed the $270 million prize anonymously by forming a trust.
