Hell, at least the cash jackpot jumped at least $6 million this draw! It is sad that even though Powerball's annuity is bulked up more than Mega Millions', Mega Millions' annuity rollovers are still outpacing Powerball's. I guess the small 30 jurisdictions just can't compete with 12 of the biggest lotteries, especially California.

Well, I saw the harsh light last Saturday. I PowerPlayed and didn't hit a single number, just like the only other time I PowerPlayed. In fact, I'm going to disregard PB jackpot sizes and play only one quick pick every draw no matter how high or low the jackpot is. Also, I'm no longer playing Mega Millions, even if its jackpot is huge. It takes only $1 to dream of winning a life-changing jackpot, which is pretty much any Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot.

Mega Millions probably saw an increase in multi-draw tickets hoping for a record run which carried over to these draws since the jackpot was hit. Or maybe Mega Millions had starting jackpot Lotto Fever!-weshar75

I have played Powerball, Mega Millions and Oregon Megabucks this year. I have won $56 on Powerball, $7 on Mega Millions and 0 on Megabucks this year. That is the highest I have gotten in prizes on those games.-weshar75

Mega Millions increased to $267
The cash value is now - a whopping $159,000,000! If it rolls tonight it will certainly top PB's cash value record of $177,000,000.

I had to open my mouth. Mega Millions did, in fact, increase its estimated jackpot to $267 million. I hope my ticket wins tonight; it's my first time playing MM since last December 30 (last Christmas and New Year's Eve weekends, I played every IA and IL rolling jackpot game except Little Lotto (IL Lotto, Hot Lotto, Powerball, Mega Millions).

I personally think this MM roll will be the first to top $400,000,000 jackpot. But more importantly, I think it will roll at least until 3/3 and top the Cash Value record PB had of $177m

It seems in states that joined Mega Millions or Powerball, their state lotto lost sales and jackpots rarely reach $10 million. Most people don't care if the odds are a factor of 10 worse, as long as the jackpots are a factor of 10 bigger. States with Mega Millions or Powerball should drop their local Lotto games completely and that would put even more $ into MM/PB jackpots.

5m bump in Mega Millions?
Since Saturday morning the jackpot was 170m. Maybe so much money from small Powerball wins pushed the MM jackpot a few ticks.
