Are lottery numbers drawn randomly? If so what controls the balls.
a friend of mine works for one of the old accounting firms that used to supervise the lottery here in illinois - he said, yes it is truly random. the lottery balls are inspected on a daily basis, there are multiple sets, all the balls are checked for perfect weight and measure before each draw. if one ball is out of whack - the entire set is discarded.
the machines are also put through a quality test each time.
but yes, i still think its rigged...
nothing like that once or twice a year

PA Big 4 - Mid/Eve for Serious Players!
That is why I don't play the mid-day draw.
It's a computerized draw and can be rigged
to filter out heavily played numbers.
I'll stick with the evening draw and
the ball drop plays.
They're not as easily manipulated.

6/12/2010 Late-California (3-Ball, CA) 279
Is the California lottery scared of the millions of random combinations of numbers that they have to throw the same two numbers for their midday house? I hate when these States act up with these stupid repeat pairs and numbers. It's no fun at all when they don't even try to hide the fact that their lottery machines are rigged. No fun at all and very costly to us who believe they can actually throw another number that doesn't contain the same two

Ohio lottery ticket wins $261.6M Powerball jackpot
Lottery jackpot won in OH... Congrats to the winner...
Now for the venting... Ohio was only in Powerball for 2 months they held out to be in Powerball... i now truly think the game is rigged... remember when FL joined, not 2-3 months later they had a big money winner. Now when and if CA joins Powerball, give them 2 months and boom a winner for them too.
Yes i am a sore looser... but...... i do again wish the winner congrats.
And i hope that one of my states can win the jackpot next tim

Clerk arrested in undercover Lottery sting
This story is disturbing from every angle.
While I am glad the Lottery is trying to ensure customers are not deceioved and that stores are held accountable for stealing from customers I am disturbed at this particular sting.
A speciallty designed winning ticket ? WTF is that?
If the Lottery can fake a winning ticket, let it show up on a machine as a winner, why should't I believe the whole darned thing is rigged? Wake up folks.
This needs an independent investigation.

Missouri Lottery gives inside view of computerized drawings
The
Tennessee Lottery did something like this about a year ago. Their video did nothing to convince me that their drawing was fair and balanced. They still retreat behind closed doors only to emerge several minutes later with the winning numbers .
I want to see the balls being flung around in a clear plastic container. I want to see the balls drop into a clear plastic chute. I want to see the numbers on the balls.
Until that day comes, I will firmly believe the Tennessee lotto is rigge

Could the Lottery offical do this??
I've never had a reason to believe or saw any evidence the drawings are rigged simply because of the odds of the game and the payoff structure. With 195 million possible combinations, PB would have to sell 20 million tickets for only 10% of the possible combos. With 5,138,133 possible white ball combination there should be about 4 five number matches. It doesn't mean the jackpot can't be hit, but the odds of a rollover greatly favors the house.
HOWEVER!!! HOWEVER, everytime when I DO NOT PLA

Could the Lottery offical do this??
MM and PB are ball draws, not computer draws.
They are rigged arleady.......
by virtue of the odds. They don't have to do any rigging or checking numbers before the draw, because at 195+ million to 1 odds for PB and 175+ million to 1 odds in MM, the chances of you or me or anyone winning is infintesimal.
Two wins in a row? Sure it's possible. It happens once in great while. Will it happen on a regular basis, such as once a month? It could, but that is a bet I wouldn't take.

Do you guys think the mega millions and maybe powerball is rigged?
You can view the drawing here http://megamillions.com/numbers/ in order for the drawing to be rigged there would have to be at least a dozen or more people in on it. In the studio when the countdown to air the drawing takes place thats when the official drawing is held all the other drawings are recorded for the auditor. Now if and numbers were drawn that weren't during the time frame that the official drawing was supposedly done don't you think the auditor would call foul. Better yet how many p
