Hmmm, well another example I guess could be Jeffrey Dampier Jr. Who was kidnapped and murdered by his sister in-law who wanted money. Hopefully the link below makes it past the URL filter.

There's other stories too and sure it's not extremely common, but it's not unheard of. Depends on the kind of people who know, I wouldn't put it past some of my own relatives (I have no in-laws so I can't go there) potentiall

The Enigma of Numbers - New Book
Amazon sent me an early release notice, this will be available April 25, looks interesting.
The Enigma of Numbers
by Lance Storm
Book Description
This eminently readable book explores the symbolic and psychologicalaspects of number. The author shows that numbers are far more than thesymbols we use for counting, for they are founded on deep psychicstructures which underlie many of our thoughts and behaviours. Numbersalso give shape and meaning to our socially constructed world. Enigma

Groups in a non-anonymous state
Just FYI since there have been many posts about claiming a jackpot as a trust or corporation, here is a recent press release from the Florida Lottery where a Limited Partnership claimed a Lotto jackpot. I can't say for all states, but in Florida the names will always be listed. There is no way around it from what I can see. The only information not shown here is the age and city of residence of each winner, which is always mentioned. (They might all live in Tampa.) At least they have names I'll

List of States Which Allow Anonymous Winners
This is the response I got from the South Australian State Lottery.
I advise that it is not the practice of SA Lotteries to release any information which may identify winners. The only exception being in instances where the winner has consented in writing to the publication of their personal details for publicity purposes. Although publicity is important to our business, our winners and their wishes for privacy come first.
As you can appreciate, most local players like to hear the

Claiming as a trust or partnership
Usually when people in Florida win a large Lotto jackpot, the names are listed along with their ages. Even when the jackpot is claimed as a trust they've historically listed the individual names of the people in the trust. So I found today's press release interesting. (in blue below) Of course it doesn't stop a curious reporter from showing up at your doorstep, but without using my full name and age, I would feel more comfortable. I also wonder if the city can be where the trust was created, not

Lottery Results Gadget
Thanks very much!
This was -- by far -- the most difficult project I have brought to market. I have been working on this project for just about this entire year.
If you go through the new pages built, you will see the results of so many hours that I could not count.
(New pages can all be accessed starting at www.lotterypost.com/software)
The gadget itself is another source of uncountable hours.
There is a major press release (the one just posted in the news section) that will be

Tenn. players picked up on new odds before lottery revealed glitch
Only experienced lottery players who track numbers and play accordingly would have picked up on this and a majority of all players might have started playing doubles thinking they would have to come out sooner or later.
There is no way of knowing without seeing the actual drawing betting statistics. And that information could have been doctored to show that many people didn't play doubles during that time. There is no way a lottery could convince me otherwise that people dropped doubles in f

Delaware Lottery publishes winner pictures -- sort of
Keeping in mind I live here and see this smiley image about every day - My first visual thought was - bizaare and definitely a negative. I keep thinking about the sign on retail doors that says you must remove any - hat - sunglasses - masks - anything which clearly impedes your face from identification. I can understand how they talked these blokes into doing this - they just utilized those first few minutes of human pliability once we've been handed a bunch of money - the brain
