Poll - RNG, auditors and game fraud
Auditors are supposed to be INDEPENDENT of the entities they're auditing. They work for public accounting firms, not their clients. The auditor of the TLC must have been an internal auditor, but obviously the internal auditing function of the TLC is ineffective if he can get fired for revealing information like that. The auditors of ball and computer drawings are not supposed to be employees of the lottery.

Online newspaper sues Tenn. Lottery for records access
Good for them! If the outfit is going to force some one out, then the whole thing needs to be public. Information on everything that happened should be published. Getting fired that way impacts your whoile life, every one you know, and your whole family. Show the world that the lottery caved out of cowardice or had a solid case. Let the chips fall where they may.

2005 a trying year for Texas Lottery chairman
Tom Clowe says he was never much of a gambling man, but he was willing to take his chances when he asked Gov. George W. Bush in 1998 to give him an opportunity to serve the state in a volunteer capacity. I said to Governor Bush: I'm ready to do public service now. Give me the worst job that you've got,' Clowe recalled in a recent interview. And, man, he did! Bush appointed Clowe in November 1998 to the board that oversees the Texas Lottery Commission, which was still reeling from a string of

The Texas Lottery Commission would not be able to resume critical functions in a timely manner if its headquarters were destroyed because its disaster recovery site lacks important equipment, a former lottery employee told lawmakers Monday.Shelton Charles, a senior lottery systems analyst who was fired Nov. 4, told the House Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee that he warned his bosses that backing up data was useless if the agency didn't have the equipment to access it. Texas Lottery worker is fired after e-mail
I would have fired him too. A senior person and doesn't know how to get information out to the public without implicating himself. He either wanted to be caught, or is dumber then dirt. He is the type who likes to play dodge-em-cars, on I40!

Powerball Jackpot Grows to $180 Million
I too really don't get fired up for records to be set. When it happens it's cool, but if it doesn't oh well. I mean really, I would be just as happy winning a 15 million dollar jackpot as I would be a 180 million dollar jackpot. But then, that's just me I guess. =)
