Is there a winning system?
Hope you won't mind me waving my own flag.
I agree that the best way to get some idea of where a particular lottery game is going is to determine where it's been.
I've offered two schemes in the Pick 5 forum that are very useful in determining where a lottery has been, and a means to make some educated guesswork regarding future events.
Generating gap sequences based on actual drawing results presents multiple data streams one can use to select numbers for a wheel.
Alphanumeric sub

Visual Basic Programing and Math
With the latest version of Visual Studio you would still be able to program in VB and it will import your current projects (be sure to make backups). Some syntax has changed and new functionality has been added, but the core of it is essentially the same and well with the upgrade.
Unfortunately there is no way to predict what the winning number for a specific drawing is going to be. The only thing you can really do is look for high probability patterns that limit your choices to a number of c

Why I don't chase lone trips in the Virginia P3
The two-part reason why I don't chase lone trips in the Virginia Pick 3 is a) lone Pick 3 hits are few and far between and b) trips tend to cluster together. So why not wait for trip to hit and then play then for a few weeks hoping to catch a second or third or even fourth cluster hit? Here is the chart so you can see what I mean. As always, my stuff is for guidance. Don't ever let me dissuade you from following a hot intuition of your own. Good Luck!

Cycles - Interesting Numbers
FYI just a performance update.
All my last lot of modelling has come up with 6 numbers correct from a pool of between 18 to 22 numbers instead of 45.
So I have essentially cut in half the selection range of numbers to come up with the 6 winning numbers in EVERY game.
This is an improvement against what was roughly every 8 to 12th game.
Next step is to improve on the total number of numbers, trying to reduce the pool of 22 numbers down to 18 or less consistently while maintaining the

Gap Strategy - TX P3D 1004
Results and comments
The winning combination is 375.
I had the 7 and 5, but missed the 3.
A Before/After triple ending with 'R' would have generated Gap #4, which, in turn, would have
generated the required Lottery number 3, and a win, provided I didn't eliminate gap numbers 8 and 6.
Seems like a lot of work, but, believe me or not, this strategy has produced several Straight and numerous Box hits
over the past several weeks.
The GNR workout I'm using is based on combination

Gap Theory
I am sure others have explored this to some degree. The one-up-one-down methods by Lucky and I believe Retxxx works because in both short terma nd over the long run numbers tend to close ranks.
Take any state and watch the last 15--40 numbers. In more than 5 out of 10 times, two numbers are just 1 apart, when boxed. e.g 3103 and 0413 become 0133-0134...
Obviously it's a too risky strategy to go playing 140 numbers at lst just to get a boxed hit., although it could more than break even fo

Workout for Pick 5, 5+ and 6 games
Construct D C charts for AS, AH. AV. AW and AX.
Rememberthe sequence # GSHVWX.
You can't get to X without going through GSHVW. Therefore the D C for AX will have all of the sequences.
You of course will construct D C charts for the Bs, Cs and Ds.
Also E and F, if you are doing MM or a pick 6 lottery.
Time for YOU to decide how you are going to use the charts for the lottery you are tracking.
I'm going to tell you how I did my Tx Cash 5. You will follow the guideline.
