Arkansas Senate, House pass lottery bills, send to governor
The Arkansas House and Senate on Monday passed each other's identical versions of legislation to set up Arkansas' lottery to fund college scholarships.
The House voted 94-0 to approve Senate Bill 26 by Sen. Terry Smith, D-Hot Springs, and the Senate voted 34-0 to approve House Bill 1002 by House Speaker Robbie Wills, D-Conway. The bills now go to the governor, who is expected to sign them this week.
The legislation calls for creation of a nine-member lottery commission, with three members

Question about Arkansas
I don't think their lottery has been started yet. Legislation has to be passed, and even then it will take time to set-up.
If you live in Arkansas and wish to play a state lottery, you can play the Massachusetts lottery games by subscription. They will send tickets by courier and they don't have any residency restrictions.

Tenn. proposal for real lottery drawings withdrawn
Georgia and all neighboring lottery states gratefully accept all of Tennessee's lottery money!!
Good time to press for national legislation for online ticket sales across state lines .... giving players in RNG only states a choice .... especially with rising gas prices and the move toward a greener world.

Early next year?! We can't wait that long. We have to strike while this fiasco is still fresh in everybody's minds.

OMG It's horrible.
And so it begins ...
The next step in the process is to eliminate televised drawings. This should take place within the next six months; they'll say no one is watching anymore, and that it's more cost-effective to air a pre-recorded videotape of the animated graphics program pretending to draw balls.
Next, since Tennessee already has mandated liability limits in place (Indiana is the ONLY lottery state WITHOUT mandated liability limits), look for your legislature to lower the maxi

Nevada panel passes lottery proposal
The casino moguls are the ones that also PAY out the ying yang for taxes that DO go to support the education system there. Nevada is unique in how it gains revenue, most of it does come from the gaming industry. Adding a Lottery system means having to hire an outside source to run the game ( revenue loss at startup) having to market it ( revenue loss) and having folks find interest in it should it pass legislation.
I am neither for or against this proposal . What does need to be considered

3 online lottery sites quit
I think the owner is leaving out some important info, and not giving you a true picture. My sources say that they have had trouble with local authorities for a while -- at least a year or longer. This stuff about the legislation being the source of problems is a smokescreen.
There is nothing the new law does to change the legality of using a butler service over the internet. If it was legal before the new law, then it is still legal after the new law.
