16 N.Y. biotech workers claim $58M Mega Millions jackpot
Judging from the photograph, it seems many winners don't like having their identities revealed. If you live in New York, please contact your Governor and local representative and point out how dangerous it is for lottery winners to be required to have their identities published. It is time all state lotteries allowed winners to remain anonymous, as is the cas is the case in Australia and the UK.

Canadian lottery winner fighting to remain anonymous
Now that is rich coming from someone in a state where you can collect anonymously. In the U.S., six states Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina allow winners to remain anonymous. If you win, remember don't be afraid to let the lottery publicise who who are when you win, otherwise you would be a hypocrite!!

Canadian lottery winner fighting to remain anonymous
Unfortunately, due to the conditions on the back of the ticket, this person will have 2 choices: accept the money all the publicity that comes with it, or give up the money. It's that simple. Me, I'm all for allowing winners to remain anonymous if they want; we've all seen the video programs about winners who've had all sorts of problems due to people coming at them for money. And, the only people who are served by the publicity of a lottery win are the lottery executives; their compensation

Alabama woman claims $80 million Powerball jackpot
WTG, I guess I'll keep going to Delaware for PB and MM, not just anonymous but maybe get some out of state luck. A quick check on Google maps shows 2 lotto stores a stone's throw from the border, wonder if she also bought tix at Yes Lotto, just across the road and slightly closer to the border !

A Texas businessman accused of helping a lottery security official to try to claim a rigged $14 million jackpot is out of jail while he fights extradition to Iowa. Robert Rhodes, 46, of Sugar Land, Texas, left a county jail after posting bond April 9, three weeks after his arrest on two counts of fraud, court records show. He's expected to contest his extradition to Iowa during a May 7 hearing and is under electronic monitoring in the meantime. Rhodes is denying charges that he worked with

BOMBSHELL: MUSL employee might have rigged Hot Lotto computerized drawing
Well at least you apologized. :) Many don't. I remember this story vividly, and I remember some people couldn't understand why the state wouldn't pay the New York lawyer trying to claim the ticket for his anonymous client. A lot of people were saying Pay it! Pay it! Here's the original news story from 3 years ago. Look at the first page of comments. Before MY extensive comment near the bottom, only one other person even said there was something up. Everybody else was slamming the Iowa Lo

It Should Be Our Own Right
Stack47, Yea, that would be great if I could buy my PB/MM here in Jersey and claim the JP in an anonymous state like Delaware. You have more faith in state legislators than me, I don't think most of em know what hypocrisy means. Good luck to us all on that.

States that offer winners the choice of anonymity
I'm from Massachusetts, but I now live in Australia. I like that the Massachusetts Lottery has a subscription service across the whole country. More lotteries should offer subscription services nationwide. I also would like to see all state lotteries, including the Massachusetts Lottery, allow winners to remain anonymous. It is not about secrecy, it is about safety and security for winners.

Final share of $564 million Powerball jackpot claimed in Texas
Danged straight! Some stranger starts stalking me, and I fear for my life... Congrats to this Texas winner!! And thank you to the Texas winner for showing us how to collect this the right way. This is good to know these details here in Texas.. trust, trustee showing up, limited publicity. I knew about the limited publicity and claiming in a trust, but was unaware how initially anonymous it could be here. Anyone can search public records to come up with the beneficiaries of

New Show About Lottery Winners Starts Today ...
Both shows sound good I am looking foward to them. I am from Southern California and altho Riverside is not my favorite place I agree with a lot with acreage. The subdivisions being built nowadays are so close you can almost reach out and touch your neighbors roof overhang. I too, would look for large open, private, secured land if I won. The MN show will be interesting, how about making a barn a home, that wouldbe different. Training German Shepherds, that is what is so great about showcasin
