Since those preprinted tickets can't be canceled, the store own the ones that don't sell so the only time a store will preprint them is when there is a line of buyers. When they hire an extra clerk to help out, they can't afford to wait around while some players make up their minds about what they would like to play.RJOh

It is faster. I see gas stations on the Indiana/Ohio boarder doing the same thing when they have a lot of costumers. Since most people are buying QP's, it doesn't make any differences. I like to make out cards and play in a systematic way, so I take the time to drive a mile farther and buy my tickets at a grocery store. If you're in a hurry and don't really care which numbers you are playing, it works fine but not for me.RJOh

The Prives learned a lesson that many lottery winners learn. Many losers, many of which the winners have never met, think they did not deserve to win and if one of them can find a way to get a winner in court, they have a good chance of convincing a jury to think the same way regardless of lottery rules about the winner being the person signing and turning in the winning ticket. That may be one of the reasons, some people prefer to make their claims anonymously when ever possible.RJOh

It really doesn't matter how the terminals come up with their numbers as long the players have the option of coming up with their own numbers and making out a card. I prefer to pick my numbers randomly myself, that way I can make sure there aren't any duplicates. It makes no sense to complain about the numbers the terminals give you if you can pick your own.RJOh

In PowerBall there are 2,869,685 possible combinations of fives. There is a 1:2.5 chance(odds)of any number from one combination appearing in another combination because there are 1,157,381 other combinations that contain one or more of the numbers from that combination. It's not magic or a scam, it's statistics.RJOh

Actually when you add up all the combinations that would contain 1-6 of those numbers, the total is 7,887,362. In the Ohio 649 Lottery 441 drawings, 1-3 of the numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6 were in 246 of the drawings which is better than 50% of the time which would be the same with any QP's that anyone bought.RJOh
