Don't these lottery places close by a certain time? What happens if a person attempts to present the ticket but can't because the office is closed? In any case, I thought of you when I read the article because one does have to wonder if a higher power has anything to do with who wins the lottery when stuff like this happens. It could be happening already ... the guy that was arrested in Iowa. I just took the headline from a news article. Lottery security chief who won $14m is accused of hacking number machine to pick his ticket ... and who can be sure there hasn't been hacking from outside the system to win money. The Federal Government is a total failure against hackers from other countries ... so why not a state lottery? ...

The title of this article is inaccurate. She didn't steal $850 worth of lottery tickets! It's a surprise to me that she didn't obtain more than $850 in winnings/payments, from the lottery headquarters, from what was probably a lot of scratch off lottery tickets. Regardless, sure not worth a serious theft judgement record that will follow her for the rest of her LONG work life, etc.!
