Powerball now has the top JP
Yes, it's all luck. In fact, luck worked in favor of Powerball last drawing - they had 31 tickets that were just the powerball away and 147 tickets that were just one white ball away from winning it all, yet the jackpot still rolled. It just shows that luck goes both ways. I'll bet they changed the matrix not necessarily just because of the string of lucky wins, but because Mega Millions was changing as well, and they don't want Mega Millions getting several $150+ million jackpots while the

'Blue Game' to start in October?
They will not lower the price, because they couldn't fund the increased 2nd tier price with a $1 bet.I am not too excited about this game. I have no desire to pay $2 per ticket for a lotto game with such long odds, and they will certainly not lure Mega Millions players away. It won't even be played in Mega Millions states!

Mega & Powerball changes
it just seems like NC would get mega millions. it would make more sense since TN and SC has PB.I was hoping TN would choose mega millions to kind even things out. That's how i thought it was. I didn' t really notice that the big states has mm and smaller ones pb.

if north carolina gets a lottery........
I do. Our director came from GA and she had Mega Millions and Lotto South. KY has powerball and lotto south and VA has Mega Millions along with Lotto South also. So I would say TN would have no problem going with another multi state game.

Powerball Rolls On
Yeah, Mega Millions sales are slowing a bit, but it's still higher than the Powerball sales at that particular jackpot level. As someone once said, players of Powerball and Mega Millions don't want lots of winners; they want high jackpots.

Lottery officials forsee $500 million Mega Millions jackpots
i think one of the reasons would be mega millions has higher jackpots more often.then you have that match 5 rule where the jackpot can't get but to a certain amount.also mega millions pay out more if you match all 5 numbers correctly.........

powerball and mega millions changing
Quote: Originally posted by LOTTOMIKE on May 6, 2005but i'm sure mega millions will turn around and add something similar too.I doubt it. Powerball kinda tries for a fun, happy, almost hokey feel. The PowerPlay kind of adds to that effect making it seem more like a novelty game. Mega Millions, on the other hand, is more cosmopolitan and classy. Just a serious jackpot with no fillers (although Texas did give it's own spin on it). Watch the draws and you can see what I mean.

new york leaving mega millions
I wish TN would get rid of the Powerball and get Mega Millions. I just want to be able to play both games and not have to drive far to play Mega Millions when the jackpot gets high.

mega millions and powerball merging
do you ever see a time where maybe due to players losing interest in one of these two games they end up combining into one huge game?

MM - End of the Line
I'm looking at my Excel spreadsheet and running out of rows.16 Mega Millions drawings remain....just 16. Eight weeks. Less than two months. Yes, it will be sad to lose all of the work on this matrix, but I know that the new jackpots will get a huge kick from the Cali sales and we'll all have forgotten about the oldstyle Mega Millions by August.
