A member sent a cool Lottery Bible tip a while back. It will be posted in the future. I haven't forgotten. A BIG thanks to YOU (who chooses to remain ... anonymous)!

Would you wait for a year before claiming your $10M MM ticket if your state has a pending bill that
In my state the temp. anonymous bill is waiting on the govener's desk, so I'd wait a short time. Otherwise this would take the patience of a saint, and I hate my job situation. Of course I'd have to find out if the new law applied to me retroactively before I start that wait.

Arizona Lottery winners could soon remain anonymous
i think you're leading the league in hitting the i agree button. that makes you a sheep. you don't have your own opinion you just agree with the flock. there have not been manystories as you say of nutjobs threatening to kidnap jackpot winners children. why do you play if you live in fear of nonsense like that? i don't think you better let your teenage sons go away to college because some nut job with a gun might go on a shooting spree. just keep them at home forever and shield them from society

Arizona bill to allow anonymity for lottery winners clears panel
Hmmm...good point...Winners should be anonymous so people who like to play in pools should figure out how to do it correctly otherwise they would get screwed. As far as legal settlements go, I am sure a lawyer could figure out how to set them up so that you could collect if the person ever got money. I don't know that for a fact but you sure seem to know everything!

Why aren't more LP winners and near winners sharing their stories?
RJoH, I'd hate to think of the pm's alone. Would be a whole bunch of people, under the guise of congratulating you, trying to put 'la mordida' (the bite) on you. And as some have already said here, posting a win on the net would be crazy. If someone is in a non-anonymous state, which most are, they'd have enough to deal with.

Arizona bill to allow anonymity for lottery winners clears panel
From the OP: ...the Republican sponsor against Democrats who argued it would diminish public accountability.... Has anyone ever seen anything about states that do allow winners to be anonymous having diminsihed public accountability ? I don't think so.

Arizona bill to allow anonymity for lottery winners clears panel
A bill that would allow Arizona lottery winners to remain anonymous moved closer to passage Wednesday following a contentious hearing in a state Senate committee that pitted the Republican sponsor against Democrats who argued it would diminish public accountability. The bill by Rep. John Kavanagh, R-Fountain Hills, was prompted by the public release of a Fountain Hills man's name after he won half of a $587.5 million Powerball jackpot in November. Matthew Good's name was released under Arizon

Nothern Powerball winners streak
Would love to see some more winners from SOUTH CAROLINA!!! Speaking of winners, lady from Florence, SC did win million dollars during that last huge Powerball jackpot win. She was one of the (60??) 5 number correct winners....She is remaining anonymous; however, a recent news report did mention that she was an older lady who lived in the country club. UGHHHHH

Arizona Lottery releases name of Powerball jackpot winner
There was never a question that he would be outted . Anonymous in this instance only meant that he declined to participate in the press conference. I think that the use of that word on the part of the lottery is misleading when they knew that the request would be made and by law they would have no choice but to comply.
