I think in most states it's going to be classified as a motorcycle, which may require a helmet in some states. I read an article that says they are trying to get around the helmet requirement. I think they could resolve it by putting the helmet requirement on something you ride , like a Can Am Spyder as opposed to a three wheeled vehicle you drive like this Elio or a Morgan Three Wheeler. I like this concept, but having to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Pep Boys is a big minus.
