Merging Powerball and Mega Millions?
Imagine if the two combined into one giant, truly national lottery.Make the odds 1 in 250 million or something along those lines.Make the Jackpots start at 30 million, possibly climbing up to 500 or 600 million. They could call it Mega Ball.Good idea?

mega millions and powerball poll
yeah. i think the other reason why mega millions will reach $400 million first is the fact that there are so many powerball states, and so many border stores. granted mega millions has more people in the states, it has fewer people living outside their states. because powerball has so many states, and so much notatiety in the media, they have a lot more people crossing the borders to purchase tickets, saturating the game.

Too many players winning Powerball, lottery says
Yeah, but if Mega Millions changes the odds, they'll have higher jackpots and even less people will play Powerball. I myself have played Powerball only once since the beginning of the year because Mega Millions and even the Illinois Lotto have had larger jackpots.

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes
It's not deception. Since Mega Millions is run by the states themselves, they each need to approve the changes within their state. Each state will go through a similar exercise.Mega Millions rules are not imposed by one director, they are arrived at through consensus. This story indicates that the new rules will almost certainly go through with no problems.

Someone hit mega - needs a fix
You shouldn't complain about the Mega Millions being won. This is the second straight run that it's broken $100 million. Anyway, since I didn't take home the mega millions, hopefully, I take home tonight's Illinois Lotto jackpot of $21 million (the last time the IL Lotto jackpot was won was November 17, 2004)!

Quinto Cashpot.
Do you see the cashpot for Quinto ever being bigger than that of Mega Millions? The jackpot has not been hit since 6. Oct. 2004, almost 6 months. Will it ever get bigger than Mega Millions, or will it be hit very soon now that they've added a Monday drawing. It has already surpassed the jackpot of Lotto several times.

Mega Millions Tickets Online?
From the MM FAQ:Click to expand Can I buy Mega Millions tickets by mail? Yes, in states where it is offered, you can subscribe to Mega Millions by filling out a subscription form and returning it to that state lottery. Check with the state where you play to find out all the details.

More Powerball States.
I think that out of the remaining states left they will all dventually need a lottery to pay for some of the programs within there state. So someday powerball will have 35 states and mega millions will have 15 and in the next 50 years we may have a national lottery to push powerball and mega millions around.
