Massachusetts Lottery closes loophole after big wins
Yeah, I saw the broadcast of the story on Inside Edition too.
Also, they didn't name him in the story, but wasn't that MIT professor the infamous Mohan Srivastava, the one who cracked the scratch-off extended play lottery games?
Anyway, I agree the game was flawed. Even though the public asked for a capped jackpot withd rolldown, the fact is that it favored someone with a huge bankroll coming in to scoop up all the money at certain times. In a public lottery funded by the general public, t

Finally, each of these 9 monthly, 9-state raffle winners receive $4M pre-taxed (apx. $2.4M n

Some not pleased with N.J. Lottery Internet drawing broadcast
Are you saying all people who make up those 1,040,000 viewings per year are going to stop playing the lottery? I think not. I think some people say they'll stop -- and maybe they will for a little while. But they will start again, and then get used to the new way the drawings are broadcast. Then they'll complain again if something else changes, and threaten to stop playing again.
I am really happy about the NJ Lottery going to live web streaming of drawings. It is absolutely the way to go, an

Osama's Double 8 Number Is Up
Another strange fact.
On May 1, 1945, Germany announced that Adolf Hitler was dead, leading to the end of the allied campaign in Europe during World War II. That same date 66 years later, May 1, 2011, President Obama announced the death of the al-Qaeda leader and international terrorist.
At about 10:30 that night a Hamburg Radio announcer broadcast that Hitler had fallen at his command post in the Reich Chancery fighting to the last breath against Bolshevism and for Germany, a

Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
Well, this is merely ANOTHER journalist writing an article to broadcast their deep seated notions about how net multi-million dollar jackpots should be distributed.
Regardless, as far as we know, NONE of these five co-workers have said anything to anyone other than congratulations towards their current/former lottery pool playing coworkers who won. If this is true, than that is the right attitude and I respect that!!! After all, their lottery winning coworkers probably asked EACH of them twi

Woman sues TV station over lottery numbers error
I am afraid she is not going to get a single penny.
Could you Imagine if she won. 1 Million People with lottery tickets waiting for the T.V station to Draw incorrect numbers. So they can sue them for the Prize.
The Odds of a TV Station broadcasting worng numbers by error are Much better than actually Hitting the Lottery. So Buy one ticket watch the broadcast and pray that something goes wrong. LOL
What a Joke.

Woman sues TV station over lottery numbers error
I think all of you that say the lady is stupid for the lawsuit are JEALOUS!!! I think she SHOULD WIN the lawsuit!!!! The news stations should NEVER have broadcast the wrong numbers the first time, and DEFENITLY shouldn't have done it the next morning! If I was her, I would be going for $500,000 - My $250,000 that I should have won and $250,000 in damages by the station!!!
FACE IT... you all are just hating because it didn't happen to you... your JEALOUS!!! And anyone else that should hav

Woman sues TV station over lottery numbers error
The broadcast and rebroadcast of the wrong Mega Millions numbers went beyond all possible bounds of decency, and were atrocious, and utterly intolerable in a civilized community, it asserts.
If broadcasting the wrong numbers caused her pain and suffering, why wouldn't rebroadcasting the correct numbers over and over again cause pain and suffering to all the non-winner?
Just when you thought you saw it all.
