British Columbia Lottery taking bets on US election
Funny stuff!
The last time the Cleveland Indians won the World Series in 1948 a Democrat was elected and again when the Cleveland Browns were the NFL Champs in 1964. And the Cavs won the NBA championship this year. Fun facts but only deserve a how about that .
By the way, the exception was in 2004. In 2000 the Tennessee.Titans lost to the Skins while Al Gore was cheering for the team from his home state. Ask them if the fact Gore winning the popular vote effected the formula .

Lottery officials say identifying winners a must
Hey it's cool, you have your lotto dream. I do think winning a big JP might be a good thing--financial security, not having to slave away, and for me, scramble all the time to make ends meet. But pretty sure there is a downside too....but I'm with you, I think I'd do alright--I am pretty sure I wouldn't go buy one of those mansions like Tom Brady or other NFL guys I saw online...but
You might think you wouldn't go into hiding, but maybe you would afterwards. You just don't know - money does s

The ugly side of the win. How would you deal with close family and friends who...?
70% of persons coming into a large sum of money lose it all in about five years. This includes former sports stars. NFL, NBA, Baseball, and others.
Of course, there are exceptions to this rule. Smart athletes who are now prospering. Same with Lottery winners.

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich to answer your questions on Lottery Post Monday evening!
Todd,
I agree w/ CARBOB,
But that's kinda like people thinking Jon Gruden should take a NFL coaching job when he already has a great gig. LOL

$450 MILLION: Powerball sales bonanza sparks early jackpot increase
Yep, every time a jackpot gets into the must win range, the so called experts come out of the woodwork. The NFL playoffs are just starting, the college football final is next week, the NBA and college basketball are mid season, and the presidential primaries are over a month away so it's a slow news day/week/month and the PB jackpot is the news.
The experts either tell us why buying a ticket is a bad idea or will tell us how to win. For those of us that discuss lottery stuff, it's simple; if

Congratulations Ms Polia. I play enter the NFL Parlay every week in Delaware.
I always fall 1-2 or 3 games short of winning that $100,000.00. usually it on the under/over bet.
Last week, I lost because the Panthers could not hold on to their 14+ lead, or at the least 7 points.

The Biggest Mistake that Lottery Players Make (I SEE this!)
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
Having been a book (years ago before Internet), this is a very truthful statement. It's amazing when you have 15-20 players, and almost all of them would be on the same team (NFL or College) - it seemed to always lose. I used to lay-off some to a friend, but soon realized that the BEST way is just put all the action in one hat and sit back. A 100% accurate stat
