Are you a Comcast internet user?
Unseen, I think you're right. Most importantly, I think many big ISPs, Comcast included, are just plain lazy. Instead of actually investigating spam complaints, they block IP addresses first, and never look to see who or what they just blocked. They say it's based on volume of complaints . Well, DUH! Of course Lottery Post will generate more complaints, purely because of how many e-mails we send to our enormous user base. If they would stop for one second and look at the content of t

Are you a Comcast internet user?
If so, Comcast is currently blocking your e-mails from Lottery Post! We see that these things happen from time to time, when an ISP gets the bonehead idea that our e-mails are spam. Any large forum web site generates lots of e-mail, but unfortunately most ISPs don't take the time to actually look at the e-mail contents before categorizing a large quantity of e-mail as spam . I have sent multiple e-mails to Comcast to get them to un-block our web address, but they have not even responde

Is it worth going to an anonymous state?
People who have are approached and not those who don't have . You do not control who approaches you but you certainly can stop them from approaching you. But isn't it better that people can not approach you ? it wastes lot of time and energy in stopping something. Prevention is better than cure. Don't you always wish that you only receive those emails which you want instead of 90% spam?

E-mail lotteries?
Anyone who plays free lottos these days is simply adding their e-mail address to hundreds or thousands of spam lists with virtually no chance of winning ANYTHING of value. They are a complete waste of time and effort, and should be avoided at all costs. My opinion, of course, but one that I believe is based on solid evidence.

Spamming Question...
Was it one sentence posts? It's not necessary to automatically consider posts as spam because you post some posts in a short time span.Usually I reply to several threads in a short time span. Then do not post for several hours. Then reply to several threads in a short time span again.

Will a Lottery Post member ever win?
I have a feeling if you hit it big you would give Todd a real workout dealing with a full PM box and constant requests for money. It all depends on how much you win. The closer to the record would make it closer to a record level of spam.

E-mail - please read if you're having trouble
Yes, thank you for sending all that detail.I've actually tried a lot of that stuff, including the feedback loop thing that is supposed to send you e-mails when people mark a message as spam. Unfortunately, after literally six different attempts to set it up, AOL outright refused, and would not provide a reason.Remember that time when I said I had it with them? That was around the time I tried to do that. (Although I did try again -- unsuccessfully -- a week ago.)
