Finally!
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've been on here, mainly because where I'm located scratchoffs are not kind. I've been bitching about VA tickets ever since I got back in this state. Well last night my luck took a little for the better as I was able to score $500 on a $5 ticket. Then today hit for another $100 on a $20. Both came out the same vending machine at Scotchman's. I was definitely chasing the $500 last night as I had bought 6 straight duds and only had a $50 bill left, so I ask

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
CA Black used to be my go-to game, but it is now nearing the end of its life, and they will probably be announcing the end of game date soon.
Got 4 $5 Gold Bar Bingo from a grocery store vending machine, got back:
$20 0 $6 $10
While I don't really like to play extended games like bingo and crossword, I do find that they seem to be hawked less. People buy one or two to take away and spend time playing it, not sit at the machine and chase winners on other games leaving more losers for uns

Playing every ticket from a machine.
Yeah, that little $2 ticket saved the day. They do that sometimes, although I rarely play them. But we have a new series coming out soon that will have a pretty decent $2 game, so I will give it a good shake.
Funny how I do better on average with the vending machine challenge than I do on regular scratch ticket play. Why don't I do it more than a few times? Strange how it flies in the face of reason that buying blind and only 1 ticket each from a machine is a winning strategy, just can't trus

What crazy thing did you see at the store today?
Craziest thing I saw today. During my morning walk, I went into a c-store to get a Hot Lotto. Old guy at the counter playing scratchers. I wanted to ask him why he wasn't buying Powerball but decided to mind my own business.
So then I went to the grocery store for crackers and stopped at the lottery vending machine for one last Powerball on the way out. And there was ANOTHER old guy standing there playing scratchers! There's a chance to win hundreds of millions of dollars for $2, and these gu

I was just going to replay a ticket using the vending machine, but the bar code scanner wasn't working. I swear every time I go in either that scanner doesn't work or the play slip reader is broken, or they're out of paper to print tickets or SOMETHING. When the line at CS is short I'll go over there and tell them about the machine, but it doesn't seem to get fixed anyway so not worth waiting in line to do.
My money was already in when I discovered it didn't work, so I was forced to buy a scr

Vermont Lottery offers new self-service machines
It's a busy travel day at the Guilford Rest Area, and tourists all seem to have the same reason for stopping.
Probably one of the best rest areas I have ever been to in the country, said Tim Donahue from Lester, Massachusetts.
We enjoy stopping here because it is a beautiful rest stop. Probably one of the most beautiful in the country, said John McGuire from Torrington, Connecticut.
Any time we come up to this area I love this rest stop. It's just beautiful here, said Dave Ranan from

How many of you guys can turn a 'supposedly' quick trip to the store into a 1-2 hour scratching adventure? Went to Publix this afternoon to buy something for dinner and left there $700 richer. Pulled $100 from the ATM and lost $40 off the bat from the counter. So I had the clerk print me out the vending machine ticket count (yes it helps to know the clerks) and from that info I purchased a GRT from the #6 position of the machine. Ticket #2 $500 winner (2 coin stacks 50/100 and another $50 number

Lottery Etiquette (Mostly Scratch)
There was a guy at the vending machine getting a scratch ticket, quickly rubbing off the bar code, scanning, and if it was a winner, scanning again to add to his balance in the machine. Then he'd buy another scratch and do the same thing. I stood there for a couple minutes, then said I'm not buying a scratch, just a megamillion. He reluctantly said okay, put your money in and get what you need. He had over $20 balance, so I put my dollar in on top of his and got my mega.
After I left, I wonde

Have you ever been put back in line when redeeming lottery tickets?
The clerk was counting the money in the cash register and told me, not till 7:30.
I started a thread about my similar experience a while ago. https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/233092
This is why I prefer to buy from a lottery vending machine. A machine will never give you a problem like that.
