Man threw away $1.25 million worth of lottery tickets
I wonder if he checked the tickets with one of those ticket scanners, and it said, Sorry, not a winner... Those things have been known to give false negatives . That's pretty tough especially when one is counting on those scanners to be correct. l read an article back in 2011 where a woman from NJ sued a TV station for $75,000 for publishing wrong lottery numbers.. l wonder if the lottery Post has ever posted wrong numbers or is there a mechanism in place to avoid such mishaps?

Legislator demands greater scrutiny of Florida Lottery
So how did Florida not have a state gaming commission? Or at least a state lottery commission? State Committees seem to be short lived, as memebrs come and go, very often as the result of newly elected representatives. This article raises alot of good points.

Just a curiosity.. would you tell your family if you won the lottery?
Immediate family or distant relatives? Strange question if it's the former...but then again, I don't know the dynamics of your personal famiily situation, so.... I live in Texas, so there's no anonymous claiming. The place where the winning ticket was sold is posted on the website. Don't you think a newspaper, be it in my small town or even Dallas or Houston would (easily) find out who won the JP if it was in that town/city and publish the information, same for the TV news? They'd want an

How can I remain anonymous
I searched for a Texas attorney and found this article from the American Bar Association - http://www.americanbar.org/newsletter/publications/gp_solo_magazine_home/gp_solo_magazine_index/gerstner.html She might be someone you may want to contact for an initial consultation. They'll likely provide the initial consult for free. http://www.gerstnerlaw.com/

How can I remain anonymous
Ask your TX Lottery public records or legal department contact, or ask Kelly Cripe: Under Texas law, a lottery winner cannot remain anonymous, but the winner doesn't have to be an individual. It can be a trust, Texas Lottery Commission spokeswoman Kelly Cripe said. http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Trust-keeps-24-million-jackpot-winner-anonymous-3848371.php

If you have a system why not share?
I heard a player trying to get triples for multiple drawings and the clerk said the first three drawings were sold out. In some states triples and quads sell out every day. There is a recent lottery article about a player winning $200,000 playing pick-4 another story about a Steve Player system. If there are systems or formulas that consistently win lottery games, why is it news when someone bets $42 or $105 and wins on a single drawing when they should be betting the max? It's like someon

Store clerk's mistake helps N.Y. man win $10 million
Probably not. From the article: The Kajfasz family had an option of how to collect its winnings. The parents are taking 86 percent, with each of the children getting 7 percent. So the parents will get 19 annual payments of around $450,000 before taxes, or almost $300,000 after taxes. But the ticket is in Frank's name, meaning that family members can keep collecting even after their father's lifetime. So it seems like Jackie's getting a cut of the winnings along with the parents.
