It is interesting how some people do not understand how new pivotal facts can flip a case in another direction. That is litigation 101. Opinions are based on existing facts disclosed. And new facts could flip my opinion. Since the plaintiff had not been an employee for weeks and disappeared (and assuming the pool was for employees only), his case has been substantially weakened.

The press is not entitled to any alleged facts on a case. Most judges are not happy if more than a quick statement is made to the press. 99% of attorneys do not instruct clients to lie. Most of the comments here raised questions as to other possible facts and inconsistencies in the lottery pool rules. We did not rely on the article alone. Saying someone has a case simply means there are likely real facts or law in dispute as to survive a motion to dismiss.

We participate in Jackpocket MM and PB pools, usually 5 to 10 thousands tickets in our pool for each drawing. We never won anything significant. Typical return is about 10%. We always see success of few, but ignore the failure of vast majority. Yes, more tickets mean higher chances, but not guaranteed.

If 50 people play Fanta 5 (CocaCola-lotto) and about 50 combinations, then they play $1 each. I think that pool play is more for big jp-games mega, power or 6/49 for example. You could do daily keno pick 10's. That locally pays 250000 for 1, you can have several 10/10's. I don't know of anyone ever winning 10/10 here.

My pool depends on jackpot, when jackpot is low I usually play 8 numbers, either 5if6 or 4if4. If jackpot is high then I play 12 numbers in 22 line or 18 numbers in 34 lines, wheel from lottologix. My highest win is 5 of 6 in Lotto Texas, it is a 6/54 game.

I use abbreviated wheel, play mostly Lotto Texas. Hardest thing is to get all 6 numbers in a small pool. Never won any major jackpot.
