Lottery winner dumps husband to date Audi dealer
They always blame the wife! They both sound like idiots. Excuses, excuses! I just went back and re-read the article and didn't see anything to make me think that the husband was an idiot. Unless you mean that he was an idiot in the sense that he stayed married to an insatiably horny slut for 9 years.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Thanks for the clarification. Not sure what incentive the clerk will get out of it, but I know its 1% for the low tier winners. The article about the 20X The Money top prize winner is on the webpage: http://www.calottery.com/media/press-releases/press-release?Item={5128DE86-A641-4D1C-AE08-503AE57D8CD0}

What are your thoughts on ticket 'extras'?
Many people have started a similar thread, myself included, and many people will start a similar thread in the future. This topic is complicated. Some people argue that the $1 used for multiplier is a missed chance at an extra MM ticket that could prove to be the winner. In these MP PP (Mega plier Power play) threads, what I have come to learn is that there are people who play the lottery for different reasons. Some play for the lower prizes even while aiming for the hard-to-win top prize while

Announcing Winners to the public?
There are threads here that discuss forming trusts and having your attorney claim the prize at the lottery office. I'm new, so I can't post links, but one thread is in the News section. There are comments to the article about Pennsylvania's attempt to make that state an anonymous state where winners can choose to collect anonymously. That might provide you with some information to guide you in your research, but you'll likely need to consult an attorney for a definitive answer. I have the

Thanks. Yeah, I saw the other thread later on too, after the fact. At this point, I can't delete my post here, so you may want to reference it. I forgot to mention that independent auditors are also involved, so there's another layer. I believe the article was in response to the scandal involving a corrupt lottery security official that knew where winning tickets were being sold, and sent his cronies to buy up rolls/packs of tickets to win the top prize.

Canadian lottery winner donates $40 million jackpot to charity
The article says that he said he didn't need the money as he has been quite successful. So he gave the money where his heart was, the place that treated his wife. Cancer touches everybody in some way everyday. I lost my mother to cancer. My wife lost her mother to cancer. If it hasn't touched one of us personally, it has or will touch you through someone you love. I agree, it was a thoughtful and loving thing to do, whether he already has money or not. 40 million is still a chunk of change.

Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
Check again, link I posted previously: http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Trust-keeps-24-million-jackpot-winner-anonymous-3848371.php Texas by law does not allow winners to be anonymous, but a winner doesn't have to be a person.

Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
Well, see, that's the problem right there. The rules and procedures are messed up. If you lived in Texas that wouldn't happen: http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Trust-keeps-24-million-jackpot-winner-anonymous-3848371.php

Lottery tracks down $50 million winner who lost ticket
Did you notice the part of the story that says the lottery officials were able to locate her because she used the credit card? The video was another piece of evidence, and might have let them locate her if they had publicized it, but it was the credit card that let them track her down. Real investigators love credit card receipts, electronic tolls, and other things that are registered to people, because that can let them identify people easily. Video only provides evidence that somebody with
