powerball has the trademark of america's game . they also have the patent on the multi-state game, so i'm guessing mega millions is paying the MUSL quite a bit of money. the MUSL should have patented the game style as well. that way, mega millions wouldn't be able to use the same game style.

I play whichever game has the higher jackpot. I love living along the Iowa (Powerball) - Illinois (Mega Millions) border! Also, it's worth noting that Illinois is a Mega Millions state, while every state that borders Illinois is a Powerball state!

i think FL would take mega millions, since i bet the MUSL would frown upon them for deciding not to go with powerball, but powerball is the better choice since FL borders GA, which has mega millions.

Back to Mega Millions for me. This is probably the longest stretch of time I've played one multi-state game - I've been playing Powerball on this run since its jackpot was only $14 million, after a $52 million Mega Millions jackpot was won.

I play only one multistate game at a time (whichever one has the higher jackpot), so the only way I could win both jackpots is if I found someone's lost, unsigned jackpot winning Powerball or Mega Millions ticket while at the same time holding a jackpot winning Powerball or Mega Millions ticket that I bought myself.
