Powerball wants it to roll because that would be two annuity records in less than a years time. So they can be pretty happy about themselves and all I want is one of those record winning tickets.

Even if MM loses CA, it's still possible for MM to set a new record level jackpot, but not likely. I think MM should stick to the current matrix CA had put up.

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.Reply
Prob988, the PB record jackpot in the 15th roll is currently at 221.5 million. If it rolls, I don't expect to see a new records from the old matrix. However, if it rolls on the 17th roll and on, PB jackpot records could continue. However, PB sales will not get any records for the next two rolls. I hope it triggers the cap again, but only after one cap roll, it will be hit.

The first LOP since the jackpot was won had a surprisingly (high) 180k payout, although still a record low for a Saturday. This game will never have another 300k rollover.

Jake649, since the advertised estimated jackpot is 180 million, there's a chance that PB will break the old record of 177.2 million. However, if it rolls, I don't expect to see any new records.
