Lottery player/winner advice ?
What the 9/11 got do with this discussion? Any REAL MONEY $50 MILLION PLUS MEN AREN'T WORKING IN 110 STORY BLDGS. Taking the lump sum is your opinion and decision to take the lump sum should be taken into advisement. $165million man was advised to so. A winner of $28million in Illinois took the annuity and places the payment in the partnership and she was probably advised to do. I would do the same thing, difference of opinion you take lump I am taking the annuity I want all the money not

NYC Mega Million winners
Quote: Originally posted by secret4777 on September 02 2002I am not a proponent of the annuity option. In matter of fact, if I ever won, I would probably select the cash option. But I am still indecisive on the issue. After all, if either of those options were THAT bad, why would they even provide that option in the first place? They have the annuity option so they can inflate the Jackpot. Saying Jackpot is 17,000,000 Dollars!!!! sounds alot better than Jackpot is 6,700,000 Dollars (after

How much money is enough!?
RJOh: Remember that the CASH VALUE of Ohio 6/49 is artifically low...this is the most noticeable time (both jackpots are the same annuity amount).

MegaMillions/Powerball tickets
ALWAYS take the lump sum...then you can shop around for the annuity as well as keep other investment options open.

Clerk mistakes
I haven't really run into that problem much. But the other day I bought some Super 6 tickets and I messed up filling out the game slip. So I ended up with I think $5 worth on two seperate tickets... one was cash option(which is what I wanted) and the other(that I messed up on) was annuity. I decided to keep the annuity ticket, basically because I thought well, I probably won't win... and if I do, so what, I get like $100,000 a year for 25 years. I don't know if I'll always keep the wrong ticket

Listen up Jabronis
The Rock says he guarantees that most of you jabronis who want the lump sum would go broke within 3 months after getting that lump sum check. Unless you are The Rock which you jabronis are not it is best that you jabrinis come into wealth at avery slow pace to adjust and get use to having such wealth but most of you jabronis will never be as fortunate as The Rock (who is use to wealth) and experience such wealth nor win the mega millions. The Rock will take his annuity gladly and the first two y
