OhioSuperLotto picks 08/07/2004
Tonight, I used a pool of 29 numbers that have hit 1 or 2 times in the last 8 drawings. In the past 75% of the winning numbers have contained 3 or more of such numbers. 20% have contained 5 or more of such numbers. I've been trying to come up with a smaller pool of numbers to play and this is how I picked my numbers for tonight.Good luck Ohioplayers.RJOh

MegaMillions numbers pool
Mike,You might want to recheck your published odds for MegaMillions(odd or 5/5+1 =1:131,145,920). I'm looking to come up with a smaller group on average than 40/28 to play. I played a 20/20 set last night with 90% coverage for 3if5 for $20 and won $3, that's about the maximum that I'll spend. Good luck on your site.RJOh

MegaMillions numbers pool
Thanks namaxplace,07, 04,38 was in the group and I played all 20 numbers in the combination and as the mega ball so I matched 04 and 07 as mega ball for $3. Four of the numbers had hit during the previous 22 drawings, but 33 hadn't hit in 56 drawings.RJOh

MegaMillions numbers pool
Tonight I plan to use several groups and only play numbers common to most of the groups which should reduce the group size. With 20 numbers, I can get 90%+ coverage for a match 3 in 20 lines, hopefully the group will have more of the winning numbers than last time.Good luck MegaMillions players.RJOh

Sequencial Probability
I defined active and inactive numbers in a similar manner in a program I used. I compared the average hits of each numbers during the entire period of the data file with the average hits of a shorter recent period of the data file to see if the hit frequencies were higher or lower than normal and only played the numbers that were more active. I didn't improve my winnings, so I abandoned that idea. RJOh

MegaMillions numbers pool
I never considered the birthday numbers, but with last night's and last Tuesday's winner, maybe I should have. Many times there are no winners with these low numbers.During all 232 Mega Millions drawings, a pool of birthday numbers (1-31) have matched:0+1 = 11+1 = 92+1 = 333+1 = 553+0 = 344+1 = 294+0 = 215+1 = 115+0 = 8I still will be trying to pick a small group of numbers that I can afford to cover until they have a winner.RJOh

Which method of play is better?
If most players could win what they spent, there would be no lottery because lotteries are designed to only pay out about 50% of the money spent playing them. It's a nice dream but unless you are lucky enough to win the jackpot or sometimes second prize, you will never win what you spent. You might as well decide what you can afford to lose at what odds(numbers of tickets) and go from there.RJOh

Mega Millions sets a new record
Quote: Originally posted by prob987 on August 01, 2004Typically the sales figures for a $10,000,000 jackpot are around $11,000,000.This corresponds to roughly a 92% chance of a rollover, roughly 1 in 23. Thus the results are consistent with the probabilities. How does $11,000,000/135,145,920 possible combinations, 92% and 1:23 relate to results that are consistent with the probabilties?RJOh

What do you think about the Prediction pa

Psychic predictions (I am getting results
I've been reading this thread also, but had nothing to add, so I didn't post. I have regretfully also posted some comments in other threads that were not appreciated, but I try to keep it to only once per thread and move on. Once a point is made, it doesn't have to be posted over and over if it doesn't contribute to the point of the thread.RJOh
