$325 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
Good questions.
The article says This is the third $300+ million jackpot Powerball has produced in a single year the first time any lottery game has accomplished that feat. Of course, people who post here understand that's because of PB's January price increase to 2 dollars.
I run a lottery pool at work. (I know...bad idea, but I do it anyway) We play MM or PB when either of them gets up to over 100 milion. A guy who regularly partcipates in the pool mentioned to me not too long ago It se

$250 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
This article reads: The estimated cash value for the new jackpot is $166.8 Million.
I get excited thinking of this beginning gross, pre-Income Taxed amount ... I want it!
I have no problem moving to a different state within our 'best-est' country to live a more anonymous life.

NY brothers claim $5M win from '06 lottery ticket
Are you still laughing after today's 11/14/12 article?
Are you still well impressed by your friend's rcbbuckeye comments that ridicled my position and so impressed you on October 18, 2012?
Is it still spilled milk to be gotten over, Mcgunnin56?

NY brothers claim $5M win from '06 lottery ticket
If I lived in New York, I will begin immediately to develop an action plan that aims to challenge the Lottery to responsibility, and compel the Ashkars to confess, through administrative and legal routes.
Ok, talk is super cheap. Especially behind a keyboard. So, you are saying that you are so indignant about this, that you would spend money and time, hire attorneys, and force the New York Lottery to make these guys confess to something that you really don't know, and you really don't know,

NY brothers claim $5M win from '06 lottery ticket
The ticket is good for 6-years? How could that be and why did this story leave that important information out?
I don't appreciate that the article releases where they live, work and how much they paid for their houses!
Doesn't that go beyond releasing enough information about the winners to keep the game fair?

Post your scratch ticket results
Guess it was the whole gift idea of not giving them a potential zero.lol I would play a $50 one to say I played it, but no way could I chase. Even at the casino in slots, I never venture over the $1 machine. Guess one day I should try one of the big $ slots to see what happens. Guess the $100 per pull doesn't pay $20 guaranteed back:)

$174 MILLION: Tomorrow's Powerball lottery jackpot red hot
Speaking of the crazy odds, I read this one recently from another article and it just cracks me up:
...a person who drives 10 miles to buy a Powerball ticket is 16 times more likely to die in a car crash than to win the big jackpot.
I'm still convinced I'm gonna hit the jackpot though dammit!!! LOL!!

Honest: Idaho Lottery retailers pass 4-month security audit
The article says the operatives entered the retail locations and presented winning tickets for payment, ranging from $3 to $10,000 winners. It doesn't say they entered and presented a winning ticket ranging from $3 to $10,000.
If you wanted to steal a winning ticket from a customer would you feel safe trying it when they only asked you to check a single ticket and it was a $10,000 winner? I'm assuming they went in with a mix that included one winning ticket worth more than $600 along with som

Michigan railroad engineer claims $337M Powerball lottery jackpot
Congratulations to Donald Lawson on is big win!
The article mentions that he spent just $2 on his winning ticket. The picture of the winning ticket show it cost him $8.
Don't you just love it when lottery officials always seem to minimize the amount wagered.
