Do you play an overseas lottery?
I played the Australian 6/45 right up to the last day they allowed U.S. players. If I lived in Canada I would still be playing. 2 tickets for an Au dollar and two bonus balls to help you win. If I won I'd move there so no taxes on the prize. BobP

Tax office workers win Powerball lottery jackpot
I agree. One must never say never when it comes to lawsuits about missing players . There are a few lawsuits going on right now, where people have claimed that they were regular paying, lottery pool members, but happened to miss out of the winning drawing and are suing to get their share. Happens all the time. Just read the articles here. There is actually a pretty big story about one going on in Canada right now.

Paying a jackpot over 26 years is too long of a time frame
Sadly the US hasn't joined the rest of the world in lottery jackpots. In Canada, Europe, Australia, etc when a prize is listed as $20M (or in whatever currency) that's what you win. No income tax and the prize is in cash. Too bad we can't import that idea.

Ontario Lottery adds signature requirement for claiming prizes
I totally agree! I am glad they are finally taking some action against all this fraud that is going on with sales clerks in Canada.
