Virginia Lottery to award partial prizes for faulty game
It is very clear that players cannot profit from errors. We have all seen many cases where there was an error, and the player got NOTHING. I commend Virginia on reaching what I think is a fair resolution to the problem.

Has anyone here read Gail Howard's book-Lottery Master Guide?
GREG I agree you're absolutely correct when I got my first program in 1996 Windows LottoPro I did not know anything about filters, wheels, number grouping or number analysis I thought the software would do all the work for me and win a jackpot BOY WAS I WRONG .I bought my second program in 1998 Gail Howards and spent 2 yrs learning from scratch the art of NUMBER SELECTION by studying, learning all I could and was able too hit 4 out of 5 in the pick several times then decided too play Cash 3 games

One of those hypothetical situations
I've wondered if one of the reasons that tickets can't be cancelled is because it increases sales by forcing somebody to pay for the ones that are printed by accident. Nobody has any kind of proprietary right to the numbers they play, but in the situation you describe your numbers aren't being played by simple coincidence. That second ticket was printed by *mistake* and the lottery says that tickets printed in error aren't valid. That's the argument I would expect an attorney to make if prese

Human error caused expensive Va. Lottery mistake
Last year, a New Mexico man filed suit against the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque after he was told his winning pull on a slot machine was a malfunction and he would not be awarded the nearly $1.6 million prize. Also last year, a Pennsylvania man said he was denied the $102,000 that he won off a slot machine at the Philadelphia Park Casino after security officials told him the jackpot was caused by a flawed test the casino was running. I don't remember reading about these, bu

Bug found?
Hey Todd, it seems like the full wheels (pick 5 and pick 6) don't consider 0 a valid entry, even when you change the minimum from 1 to 0. You can click quick picks a few times and it will throw a 0 in there, but when you hit 'Create Wheel' you get: Error: You did not fill all the input spaces with numbers. ..And it removes 0 from the box you entered it in. Abreviated and Key wheels work fine with 0's for both pick 5 and pick 6 wheels. FYI!

would you play last weeks winning numbers in this weeks draw
i made another error , asking would you, instead of asking have you...? Not really because people play multi-draw tickets and might not even know they won a jackpot and played the same combination in the next drawing. If they read the winning ticket was sold where they bought their tickets, I bet they would check unless they were on vacation. One number has repeated 46 times in the last 100 MM drawings, two repeated 6 times and 3 numbers repeated once. I wouldn't ever suggest playing the

FYI, AOL e-mail is bouncing today
For those who use AOL for the e-mail address on their Lottery Post account, it seems that AOL is experiencing issues with their e-mail servers, because much of the e-mail being sent from Lottery Post to AOL accounts is bouncing back with the error message, SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE, TEMPORARY DNS FAILURE . So if you're not getting your e-mails, now you know why. Lovely AOL.
