Texas Lottery Director joins Lottery Industry Hall of FameReply
Many of the members of this hall of fame are lottery directors and very obvious one of the Texas Lottery directors should be part of it. Sort of odd chairman of the Texas Lottery Commission was overlooked, but Jaymin Patel, President and CEO of GTech was inducted three years ago. However it is the lottery industry hall of fame so don't be surprised if the inventor of Monopoly Millionaires' Club is inducted next year.

I don't know if Patel is a must have name for men of a whole tribe because even the stores at my town have Patel's behind the counter. I know there is a country in Asia where people used to have one name only. I'm not sure if they changed that

The 7-11 close by the house. The owner's name is Patel. He also has a restaurant a couple of blocks away called Curry in a Hurry . Love the Samosas.

Yeah that rings a bell too...some will cash out at 50%. I heard some guy talking about taxes and being ripped off by a Patel-type...he won $1,000 and got $500, he said he needed the cash so took the loss. wth??

To me this is the most striking sentence in the whole story. A store selling tickets for 13 years and this is their biggest win. Another great reminder that lottery is NOT easy to win.
